Great defense but man that dude stinks it up on offense.

I think it took Bowen a while to get an "on court" feel for how to defend Rip Hamilton.
You can look at all the film you want, that will prepare you yes, but until you lace em up, get out there and try and bust through the screens, thats when youll finally find out how to do it.
The defense on hamilton in the second half was outstanding.
I think the only adjustments that need to be made would be the defense on Billups.
Way too many open shots for Billups.
I don't mind if he gets shots. Just from watching the mia series he looks like he's inconsistent as is the entire det team except rip, but bowen has and will shut him down. He seems to make bad decisions and take bad shots. I'll let him take all the shots he wants, he won't be so hot next game.
Rip started out lighting him up a little, but as the game progressed, BOWEN owned him. 7-21=![]()
I think it was the pressure of Rip having to play both ends of the court and he just ran down his energy by the end of the game.
I was still pissed at the fact that he missed open shots and even when he upfaked and tried to get a closer look he still missed. I just wish he was a little more consistent on offense but loved the D.
say what you want about ben but he is capable of having a good offensive game. he had one 23 pt game and i think one 18 pt game so far in the playoffs.
how many of those were just dunks, Im talking about shooting here.
If Billups is taking a bunch of shots, it means he's not getting anybody else involved. I certainly think the Spurs would gladly take three more editions of Billups' Game 1 performance.
I'll take his box score of 39 min 5pts 7reb 3blk 2to every nite, go on a ben wallace offensive spree and score a whole 10 pts, fine with me.
On a side note he looks like the dumb kid in highschool.

Both are capable of putting up numbers occasionally, but they both suck on offense.
