I'm sorry, but people who thought she sounded awful are tone deaf. She was awesome, and didn't try to hit notes just to impress. I thought she was by far the best perfomer of the anthem all year out of the 15 or so games I've been to.

She's always going to sing with a bit of a canadien accent, but I think that's one of the things that makes her tone so unique.

I agree with Ed, though. I'd hit the Jagged Little Pill version, but not the happy Alanis.

I wasn't there in person last night and I am not a singer but my daughter, who is, agreed with me. Maybe it sounded different coming out of our surround sound. In the past I have always liked her music, and I love Jagged Little Pill. I just hated the way she sounded last night. That's just my opinion.

She's an acquired taste because of the accent and the edge in her voice maybe....I dunno.....but most musicians do sound a lot different live.

I wouldn't have minded hearing this one blonde lady that's done it a few times this season....she was absolutely amazing.

I liked Alanis last night for the simple fact that, unlike most "artists", she didn't take liberties interpreting the song. Although, that might just be because she doesn't have the range to!

I don't like her voice or music but it can't get any worse than groups or solo artists the last 5 to 10 years.

Alanis seems to have gone from screeching screaming rocker, to someone who can actually sing and shows her talent.

I was impressed. Plus, I gotta admit, she looks alot hotter now that she actually does something with her hair, and not just long nappy hair.

The short hair and the hooters outfit was pretty hot.

She sucked. Tone deaf? I didn't know having a lisp and a fake Scottish accent was a good thing.

The whole time I was waiting for her to break out with "Who would've thought...it figuressssp".

She was horrible. Her singing was horrible, her outfit was horrible and her hair was horrible. People in the section next to me were cringing and laughing -- and they weren't "immature kids" they were adults that were embarrassed.

Manny thinking thats the best performance hes seen,

he obviously wasnt at the game with the Saxophone player.

    THAT was fantastic.

True. There were also several other good singers this year -- unknown people. And there were some horrendous ones too.

I would have boned her back in the day, but I thought she was friggin' ugly last night. And I'm sorry Manny - I thought she sucked, and I'm certainly not tone deaf.

I'd hit it if her breasts are really that big now

And she WASNT that bad last night compared to will smith. I'd rather hear 5 alanis performances than 1 will smith. Damn he sucks.
