Heh. Coulda sworn this was a ings thread upon first glance.
Wow. Art imitating life and so on.
I would've been cool with Chitown winning it too after the debacle against Dallas.
I think I'm still hurting from '08...'04 still smarts...yeah, I think '04 still hurts way bad. Ugh...lol good thing we had '08-'09 and '09-'10...

Which reminds me...What does a Polish woman and a hockey goalie have in common?
They both wear the same pads for 3 periods.........heyyyyyyyyyyyy-o!
I'm sure 1960s Laker fan didn't bat an eye. Imagine the horror.
Game 4 2008 was the lowest point for me as a Lakerfan (Game 6 didn't bother me cause i knew it was over)...I was only 1 when 1984 happened, and the Detroit and Chicago series were never really close after the first couple games.
Going to an Irish bar that was pro-Celtic for that Game 4 in 2008 was probably not the best idea I've ever made, but you're right--that was just brutal. Oh well, 2 out of 3 isn't perfect, but it's better than not winning a le. That 4-0 plunder by the German and his band of Mavs on the other hand...
Mavs series was over before it started. That's what I like about the Lakers...when they're beat, they usually realize it and rarely lose in heartbreaking fashion.
That is basically true...why try when you've got more pressing things to worry bout.
Hotel and resort reservations abroad are expensive to cancel, tbh.
When you're beat, you're beat...I appreciate the Lakers not prolonging the inevitable just for the of it.
Losing soundly also leaves no room for the front office to remain idle in the offseason. Losing 4-0 in the 2nd round means moves have to be made. If they would've lost 4-2 or 4-3 and had injuries, then they could justify not making moves by attributing it to bad luck/health (like the Spurs have done since 2008).
Getting beatdown is not always bad--especially when you have a FO who's willing to reload. If it had to be someone, I'm glad it was Dallas.
Lakerfan, personified.
Let me know when basketball stops awarding the team with more points the trophy.
You're right, field goal percentage generally doesn't matter. Efficiency is an afterthought.
