I don't know about the starting five, that would leave us with a weak second unit, but it would make a great finishing five(lots of three point shooters in there too!)

True. Klobucar was pretty good in the finals. When he hit those 3 3pointers in a row I was really surprised, but some solid games don't make him a good choice for the NT. But yea he's better than S.Udrih.

A quick update before preparations start:
D. Lorbek will not play because of injury, same for Vidmar. E. Lorbek also refused participation this summer.
It looks more and more that next summer will be free for national team duties for all slovenian players.
Also according to the news 14 players are to be selected for the tournament, so that leaves 3 to cut off (baring any more injuries).

Diamantidis and Papaloukas have played their hearts out for Greek NT for almost 10 years..We feel happy to have seen them play,and we thank them.
That is disappointing and puts a lot of pressure on the existing squad, but I am confident the team will find a way to succeed, regardless of the obstacles. The faithful on the team are tenacious that way.

Slovenia beat Poland 69:54 in our first prep game. G. Dragič was the top scorer for Slovenia with 18. Lorbek and Smodis did not play, likewise best Polish players were missing, so nothing much to take away from this game. They will play against Macedonia today @ 20:00 CET.
