Holy ing . I saw this thread and this is exactly what came to mind.
Bill Hicks was greatness in human comedian form.
It's interesting how someone just compared him to Sam Kinison, after listening to some of Kinison I came to the same conclusion. They did have some similar bits, but Kinison's insane yelling starts to detract from his overall performance and message.
Here's the other 'Freebird' heckler from that show...Hicks really loses his in this clip
Sam was great too, and his punchline yelling was his own thing, so i didn't have a problem with it...he was a funny cat no doubt. Hicks never really yelled unless he was tearing into a heckler though.
"There are jokes on the way, folks!"
