2006 because I highly doubt that 2004 Spurs team would of beaten Detroit.

The easy choices for me are either the 2008 or 1984 Finals...probably 2008 because it's fresher and I hate the gots who are/were on that team, moreso than mchale, bird, etc.

A darkhorse pick would be the 1998 WCF against Utah. Would've been cool to see Shaq, a young Kobe, Eddie, Fish, Horry, Van Exel, et al battle MJ's Bulls. It probably would've been a sweep like the Jazz series, but it still would've been sick to see.
I wouldn't change a gotdam thang about a gotdam thang...only scrubs sit at home wishing they could change outcomes...let the record stand mutha er...

    Kobe 5

    Duncan 4
    Garnett 1
    Ray Allen 1
    Paul Pierce 1
    Dirk Nowiski 1
    Wade 1
    Lebron 0
    Iverson 0
    T-Mac 0
    Yao Ming 0
    CP3 0
    Melo - 0
    Durant 0
    Rose 0
    Prince, Billups, Big Ben 1

    Let the ing records stand....

1989 against Chicago and 2009 against Orlando. Not that the Cavaliers would have won the le in either year, but still.

Also, before my time, the 1976 ECF against Boston. With home-court against a 42-win Phoenix team in the Finals things were set up for the Cavaliers to win it all that year.

changing losing to the mavs would equate to losing to the heat, mentally weak team this year

Easily 2000 wcf game 7.. 4th qtr. Shaq said the winner of that game would win it all, he was right. And in a room full of laker fans I sat and watched the collapse and all the talking I had done for the previous 3 games and 3qtrs came back to bite me in the ass that day.

09' first round was a good win for us where we defeated the spurs 4-1, it felt really great to beat your bitter rival in the playoffs but i wish it had gone the other way. spurs were the superior team to lakers that season imho they just lost the mavs series due to match-up problems, had they taken another team in the first round their playoff run would've been a pleasure cruise, they would've easily made it all the way to the finals (knowing the mavs couldn't have get past the 1st round taking another playoff team instead of the spurs). lakers looked good but they were no match for the 09' spurs imho
haha, nice troll attempt. You almost got a, "but manu was out that year!" response out of me.

I'd take Manu's foul on Dirk back in 06, like so many other Spurs fans.... or erase Fisher's shot in 04.

04 would've been cool to set up a rivalry between DET and SA.... 06 would've been a guaranteed ring against MIA though.

1962 Game 7 Frank Selvy misses the potential game winner on the parquet.

Celts win in overtime and then go on the edge the Lakers the entire decade.

I'll go a different direction and say the '95 Conference Finals vs Houston. Spurs had the best record that year, an MVP David Robinson, but the coaching staff refused to double Olajuwon.

Spurs win that series, they go on to beat the Magic in the Finals, and all the "Robinson is soft" talk goes away with the SPurs first championship. FInals battle of Robinson vs Shaq woulda been epic, especially with the storyline of how Shaq was pissed that DRob beat him out for the scoring le on the last day of the season with his 71 pts vs the Clippers.

2007. Golden State was the worst match-up possible for us. If we could have avoided them, I believe we win it all. The team was just to good. I agree with Spurs fans when they say 2006. I believe they would have killed Miami. I don't believe Stern hated ya'lls owner or wanted to teach him a lesson.

Mavs had not shot at the Spurs in 03, THE SPURS only lost games as they would then by blowing a big lead and getting lethargic! They tend to do that from time to time with that team! Dirk went out and it was basically 2-1, should have been 3-0 but SA BLEW GAME ONE! SA's frontline was too much for them to handle that year, period! They were just too deep for the Mavs. Kings should have been there IMO, if Webber is not hurt it is SA and Kings WCF for a take all! Duncan was on a F IN MISSION that year, GOD could not stop him.
In a world of hype, all they did was win.

Suprised no one has mentioned 1979 when the Spurs were up 3-1 to the bullets in the conference finals, and ended up losing the next 3, and could of won there first championship then.

1995 was heart breaking more because my first year watching the Spurs, and the Spurs were better than the Rockets, and has the best record in the league, but Rodman had to up in game 1 which we lost by 1, and would of gone on to beat the magic.

2001 got swept by the lakers after rolling through the regular season, and first 2 round, the spurs were Bruce Bowen, and 100 percent Derek Anderson away from contending in that series, and spurs would of murdered the 76ers in the finals.

2004 derek fisher shot was bull , and to this day will always be. I think detroit wasn't as strong as they were in 05 but it would of been another classsic series.

2006 another bull call but spurs didn't execute in overtimes but defintley ic ould of saw a sweep of the Heat in the finals.

2008 brent barry was screwed by the refs in game 4 I predicted the spurs would win in 7 that series also unfortunantley spurs choked games 1 and 5, and the spurs would of matches up great with Boston, and would be a toss up finals

    Manu's foul on Dirk.
    Manus foul on Dirk...
    Easily this..... EASILY.
What everyone seems to be forgetting is that it shouldn't have mattered. If you're going to call a foul in that situation, you have to call the blatant foul on Duncan on the putback to end regulation. He got absolutely hammered with no call on a wide open layup. He makes even 1 of 2 and the game is over, the Spurs win the series and probably win the le.

Yeah and how did that regular season record work out this past season? Playoffs = matchups. Rodman was on Hakeem for a while and did a good job on him, but no one was going to stop him. Double him and he kicked out for an open three. Had the spurs won, they weren't going to stop Shaq.

If the Spurs were better, then they would have won that series. No one was beating that 95 squad.

Eh the Suns were up 3-1 and blew it in game 7, so idk how "no one" was beating them.

As far as Rodman goes tho, he didn't lose that '95 series for the Spurs, Robinson lost it for chasing Rodman around with a bible.
