Yeah, he was the longest tenured Jet player they had, by far...no need for him to be a about it.
They offered him a 1 year minimum contract after he was their only D-lineman who proved any kind of a pass rush last year had the 4th most sacks on the entire team, and had been a leader on their team for years. If Ryan has a problem with someone it should be Tannenbaum for giving Ellis an insulting offer.

Meh. The fact that ellis is a former jet and has inside knowledge is a bigger deal than whatever skills he brings to the table.
