Best of luck to George, he'll be missed. But I think I'll just email him instead.

Does Pizza Hut know they're cosponsoring an event with Barely Legal?

i always thought hill did a great job on jason terry.
I like Hill, but what's so special about him as opposed to other former Spur players? Are we gonna start throwing farewell parties for every player that gets traded?
If so, classiest move ever.

iirc imo the double post is the classiest tbh
You guys have fun. My Saturday is pretty busy...between sleeping and scratching my balls I don't think I'll have the time to make it out there.
George Hill. A player that was drafted out of nowhere that turned into one of the best assets this team had. One of the last Spurs to heed Bowen's teachings and focus on defense and the corner 3's. Overall a streaky scoring player that loses his touch in away games but has honed his skills each year. I still remember reading about his horrible shooting struggles in the training camp games but now he has a respectable midrange and longrange jumper. Two of his highlights for me were defensively frustrating Kobe earlier in the past season and even frustrating Dirk in the playoffs two seasons ago.
Hope he does well in Indiana although they might be in for huge changes if they replace Bird with Reggie Miller. If Hill keeps developing his shooting, passing, and aggressiveness then he'll have a decent career. Not much room for the Spurs guard spots with Parker, Neal, Manu, and Anderson on board. Pretty classy that he was able to be traded to his homestate![]()
I'll allow it.![]()
it's pretty sad that this moment was the highlight of George Hill's career as a Spur.
IMO this GH experiment gets a B-
He shut down Kobe Bryant for a day. Thats no mean event.
I wouldn't say that game against the Lakers was the highlight of Hills career. The highlight, thus far, was probably his series against the #2 seeded Mavericks in 2010 (the Spurs, to date, being the last team to defeat the Championship Mavs in the playoffs) in his second season in which he almost won Most Improved Player.
In that series Hill averaged 14 ppg (.50 FG%), 4 boards, and 1 steal per game.... hit some pretty clutch shots too (this one was sick)
His 29 points in the fourth game of that series was the first time since Round 1 of the 2007 playoffs that somebody other than Duncan, Parker or Ginobili lead the Spurs in scoring
I didn't attend this event and don't know what kind of dude Hill was behind the scenes, but I definitely appreciate everything he did for the Spurs when he put on the uniform. I think his scoring and ability to make clutch free throws and get to the line will be missed.
, I forgot it was today... I missed out on the cool $50 TJastal offered me if I could run in and get a shot of George at the urinal.![]()
This..that's pretty ed up. Dude gave it his best here, and was a lot better than most thought he would be before the draft.
Show was great . Hot but had a good time . I'll post pics Monday. $80k was spent on the cutlass? lol , fox 29 please stop lieing . False info.
George Hill's nonprofit organization, Rising Stars - youth basketball in Indianapolis and San Antonio. Guess now it will just be in Indianapolis.

All proceeds from sales of G. Hill sports items there at his farewell car show went to Rising Stars, just found out.
This is true, but you cannot demand respect. He is a good player, probably will make good money on his next contract, but he's still an off the bench player (maybe not in Indiana). He doesn't really merit a going away party.
I wish him luck.
