    Kevin Garnett was linked to the Lakers in the summer of 2007, but ultimately ended up being traded to the Celtics.
    "I was pretty close to be honest," said Garnett. "What disturbed me about the whole Lakers situation was Kobe (Bryant) and Phil (Jackson) at the time. They were at each other pretty bad, and it was a new situation I didn't want to get into ... It was my choice, yeah. There was a lot going on and I didn't want to be a part of it."

    Are you ing dense? Did you even read the quote you posted? He said he didn't want to deal with the Kobe/Phil bull that was going on at the time. Where in that quote did Garnett say he was scared to play there?

    Yes KG is much better than Pau, but man if KG came to the Lakers and acted like the arrogant prick he wa son the Celtics ... do you know how much MORE the Lakers would be hated right now?

    On second thought, that would of been awesome!!! Dont think the heat would be as hated as we would of been. too bad it didnt happen. PJ, kobe and KG on one team ...clssy fans like the Spurs would lose their minds ....
