Once he gets a QB who can actually deliver the ball to him, he can be in the conversation.
    He already has one.
Problem is, whoever is calling the plays for his team is an enormous head.

I'd still take Andre over anyone else. If he stays completely healthy this year then probably Calvin.

I used to think Schaub was a good QB and not at fault for the Texans' issues, but watching that Saints game he was clearly afraid of the moment in the 4th quarter.

Marshall is going unnoticed here. Tbh he's probably the best after the catch player in football. He's in a really ty situation in Miami tho.

Marshall is tight, but I can't put him up there. Even in bad situations, he should be scoring more TD's.

Did you see the mia/ne game? Marshall should've had 2 or 3 tds but due to Bennett being a slightly better Curtis Painter, he couldn't hit Marshall.

Like when Miami still had a chance late, some of his fade throws were legendary bad.

I agree but the best in the game would find ways to break runs into the end zone IMO.

If there's an NBA season, put him in the dunk contest. He'd do better than Shannon Brown.

I'd still take Andre over anyone else. If he stays completely healthy this year then probably Calvin.
Calvin Johnson is pretty much always going to deal with little injuries. Back issues in his rookie year. Then a knee injury couple years ago. Then his shoulder last year. The type of injuries simply that football players get because of the physicality of the sport. Calvin gets hit hard because he does go up the middle. He's usually double covered and takes a lot of hits because of that. And he does make acrobatic catches where he'll land and compromise his body. I wouldn't be surprised if he continues to get little injuries here and there. But he has also played through most of them. I think he's only missed 3 games in his first 4 seasons.

From a fantasy football point of view, he probably isn't a guy you can rely on consistently to give you 8-10 catches and 100+ yards every game. He'll score. He's already got 6 TDs in 3 games. He's definitely a scoring target in the red zone. But a lot of guys might put up better statistics than him, especially because it seems like Stafford likes to spread the ball a lot and has the weapons to do so this season. But if you're just talking about what guy you would want on your team not only to make big catches but to be that constant threat to force defenses to change the way they have to play just to account for him, I'm not sure who is better than Calvin. Marshall might be better after the catch. Fitzgerald might have better hands. A guy like Desean Jackson is faster. Granted I don't watch much Texans football so I don't see Andre Johnson much. But watching Calvin, I can't imagine a more complete wideout in terms of what he offers. If it's not based purely on statistics, really can't go wrong with Calvin.

How is Hakeem Nicks not in the top 5? He is better than Marshall and Jennings. Calvin and Andre Johnson along with Fitz I can understand.
Quit being a homer. Nicks might break a top 10 list but there's no way he's top 5 material.

I used to think Schaub was a good QB and not at fault for the Texans' issues, but watching that Saints game he was clearly afraid of the moment in the 4th quarter.
In Schaub's very limited defense...he did take them down for a score to retake the lead in the 4th. He just left too much time for Brees. He had another shot and blew it.

That 4th quarter personifies Schaub. He's had his moments where he looks like he could channel some clutchness but it seems like he offsets those with equally bad moments. I don't know what to think. It's big ass catch-22, because 4000yd QB's aren't just laying around waiting to be picked up.

The Lions were down 20-0 at the half, and Megatron brought them back with ridiculous catches that ultimately won them the game. Instead of just racking up meaningless fantasy numbers on a team, he's actually become a clutch WR who's winning games for his team--The Tampa game is another example of this.

When you put that much skill and ability (great speed, ups, footwork, and hands) into that freakish body, it's just not fair.

That is what I'm saying about Marshall, Dirk. Look at that video. While Marshall is very good, he just doesn't find ways to score. Even with a bad QB he's getting the yards, but he never punches it in or wills his way to the endzone like CJ.

ESPN's Cris Carter: Calvin Johnson is good but not elite

Calvin Johnson is slowly changing Cris Carter's opinion, but the ESPN analyst said during a radio appearance today that the Detroit Lions star still isn't an elite wide receiver.

“I believe there’s really four elite wide receivers,” Carter said on the Mike and Mike show. “That would be Greg Jennings, Roddy White, Larry Fitzgerald and Andre Johnson. Those guys separated themselves over the course of the last several years from the other receivers.

“Now, Calvin Johnson is playing the best football of his career. He’s getting single coverage now, he’s beating single coverage. He had double coverage in the red zone; him and (quarterback Matthew) Stafford have great chemistry together. He is playing at a top-five level, but before this season, he wasn’t better than those other four guys.”

Carter didn't rank Johnson among his top six receivers during a radio segment this summer. He said today DeSean Jackson, one of the players he initially put ahead of Johnson, "really shouldn’t have been in" his list.

Johnson leads the NFL with six touchdown catches through three games and made a highlight-reel 40-yard over-the-shoulder grab to set up Jason Hanson’s winning field goal in Sunday’s overtime victory over the Minnesota Vikings.

“He’s starting to come into his own, which he should be,” Carter said. “He should be coming into his prime, and he’s only going to get better. He’s a phenomenal player.”

Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford tweeted today: "Does anyone think 8 tds in 4 weeks will change chris carters mind about an 'elite' receiver? #megatron."

Carter also said he isn’t surprised by the Lions’ 3-0 start, based on their schedule and their offensive firepower. The Buffalo Bills and Green Bay Packers are the NFL’s only other unbeaten teams.

“Matthew Stafford is a really talented thrower of the football,” Carter said. “Last year, we really got Aaron Rodgers, especially down the stretch and in the playoffs, but there’s not a lot of quarterbacks that can throw the ball better than Matthew Stafford can. If he can stay healthy, they’re going to score a lot of points.”

I put Marshall in my top 5 list, I stand by it, but he's been pretty ty this season, tbh..he has missed some notable RZ opportunities..his problem is that he loses interest when the situation annoys him, which is obviously the case in Miami, as he has a horrible QB and a losing team..

Cris Carter is a ing idiot. He has CJ as his 10th best WR, behind guys like DeSean and Holmes.

Personally I think Fitz and CJ are the best at the position. Possibly put Andre in there too.
