I know this is supposed to be funny, but no matter what party you are affiliated with, you have to admire a guy that is self-made. I mean -- his dad was a janitor and his mom was a maid. His dad worked his ass off to by a home for his family and instilled a good work ethic in his children. Cain went from nothing, graduated from college, worked his way up at Coca-Cola, Burger King Corp, then turned Godfather's completely around from the brink of bankruptcy... then bought the company Pillsbury.

And...at least he has a plan. Agree or disagree with him, he takes a stance and can explain to you how he wants to fix things -- and that's more than most of the candidates can do.
Well said. The guy certainly has a good resume.

It's irrelevant if Cain knows how to create jobs.

Are you people expecting Cain, or any President, to create jobs?

The Repugs say gov can't create jobs so they will never pass any legislation that create jobs.

Govt is the problem, not the solution.

Do you people actually listen to what the conservatives and Repugs have been saying for 30 years?

Basically. Plus you don't have to deal with Congress.
Because being a community organizer is so much more preparation for creating jobs than actually running a business, opening new stores, hiring staff to run them, while staying profitable.

@ ElNono wondering what makes a successful businessman able to create jobs better than a community organizer.

Dishonest yoni putting words in my mouth that I never said. I never said Barry is MORE qualified. You can stop now.

I just don't see how being a lawyer or having a CS degree is really different when trying to set Economic policy. Either would probably request and require the advise of economists.

Running a successful business has little to do with running a country's economy, starting from the fact that even the actual budgetary process is controlled by Congress.

I really have no problem with Cain, other than I don't really agree with some of his views.

Absolutely. It's understandable if you disagree with his political ideas, but how can anyone not respect him?

Being able to maximize the bottom line in national food sales does not necessarily mean that you know how to generate jobs in a national economy. Food sales is all about keeping food costs down for all the talk of service and a smile. The average food service worker has a high job overturn rate and a lot of heads. Want to know how to score pot? Talk to a restaurant cook.
It's so simple. Government cannot create jobs or wealth in any meaningful way, but a man like Cain knows how government can it up, so he knows how to keep government out of the way of growth.

"disagree with his political ideas, but how can anyone not respect him"

    sick compartmentalizing.

His political ideas are integral to, resulting from his career, his "success", and indicate how he would up America more if he ever got the power.

He's a racist bag who thinks managing a fast food business qualifies himself as a American president.

If he'd stay out of politics I'd admire him to death, but he's overzealous.

Do we need to even mention is foreign policy understanding? Everytime it comes up he talks about jobs and the pizza business.

Do you think China will just say, ok America we took your jobs, but will buy your Pizza because it's so good. We could be a Pizza exporter.

    Simple, this:

It's a shame he said such a stupid thing too, because he's got the best answers when the MSNBC anchors try to attack him - since he's got the cajones to sit in a chair and let them interview him unlike the other main GOP candidates. His answers are bull , but I respect his ability to focus in on the actual specifics of what they ask him - once again, unlike the other GOP candidates. EXCEPT for the above bull , and the fact that he's never acknowledged the absurdity of it means I have no respect for his lame ass attempts to garner support through Obama bashing. No one will fund him head to head against Romney or Perry, he's VP at best if the GOP need to play the race card.

I disagree with you. I think he addressed the question real well on the healthcare issue.
