When they talk about honeycomb tech thats that. Capacitive touch screens have been around forever. Touch screen handhelds were hardly his idea.
He put the Apple logo on it and voila. ITS BRAND NEW!!
His real innovation was the business deal he had with the RMAA or whatever those s are that oversee copyright for iTunes. That deal was innovation if the tech to implement it was not.
Also Apple gets an extra special you for their IPR practices over the last decade. Hopefully this recent to the patent office reform helps. Want to make some bucks with a science or engineering degree then go into IPR laws. That certification is going to be even more gold over the next decade.
Jobs proposed allowing principals to hire and fire teachers based on merit,
that's a start
Too bad they legislated against collective bargaining over money in Wisconsin instead of that.
How do you get the wage issue from him saying "regulations and unnecessary costs?"
Why do liberals interject their own bias into what others say?
You seriously want to give tyrannical principals the ability to hire and fire at whim...
..you guys know nothing about education....go be a sub for a year or two...
Seeing a GUI and making one yourself is not the quite the same as stealing it. His engineers designed all their own software.
What you are saying would be the same as saying that all automakers stole from the first car designer.
Exactly. Others may have came up with the GUI concept first, but it was very imperfect and these Corporations chose not to invest for R&D for these projects....
I liked the Amiga concept of a GUI. When the first "Windows" computer came out, it was so lame compared to what I was used to.
The thing is that they should be held to the same standard as well. Using collective bargaining to entrench yourself like that is weak.
According to the Apple patents put forth that would be copyright infringement. His own company argues the other way.
Even in the first versions of windows the little arrow would tend to bounce all other the place...drove a lot of people back to Linux...
???...Linux didn't exist when the first version of windows came out.
I was referring to the predecessor of Linux, Unix.....same thing to me...
many people went back to basic too...
Posted via mobile iPhone no doubt.
Xerox built the Alto in 1973 and didn't give Jobs a demo until about 1979. Xerox execs didn't have the vision that Jobs had. Fortunately for some of the engineers at PARC, Jobs hired them to develop the Mac.
