Teams in DFW just can't handle pressure. The Mavs were able to pull off their miracle because no one expected them to do it. They had also choked in the Finals in 2006 then let the Warriors on them in 2007. Expectations were lowered after that. Expectations were high for the Rangers once they got in the ALCS this year. A World Series championship was expected. The Stars and Cowboys of the 1990s never really choked because those teams were awesome and were stacked with great hall of fame players.

I think eventually Rangers fans will move on. They probably won't ever forget but they will move on and continue to support the Rangers. That's what true fans do. Fans of the Cubs and Indians have done it so I'm sure Rangers fans can do it. Even Brewers fans have done it and their team hadn't done for almost 30 years until this year. What about Mariners fans? Their team has never even been to the World Series. You can look at it two ways: be happy that they had back to back AL pennants or and cry and go back to the days where they got their ass kicked by the Yankees in the first round.

Interesting fact: The team that has eliminated the Rangers in the 5 times the Rangers have been in the playoffs has gone on to win the World Series every time. Weird.

If the rangers make it back and win it all, that's the only way to minimize the hurt.

I think the Rangers have a great shot at getting back. Just sign the best pitcher they can through FA and keep developing Holland, other than that keep it all together and make another run at it. This was probably the lowest low I've been on as a sports fan in a long ass time, but it'll just make the high that much better when they eventually do win it some day.
