I don't understand this inmigrants discussions. What is considered an inmigrant? If a person is born and raised in a country I don't think they should be seen as inmigrants in that country. If that were the case then 99% of the people in America (you know the continent, the only place that is actually called that way) are inmigrants.
People with little knowlegde (--> lefty) don't get the fact that nationality is a moving notion. Being French in the 19th or 18th was different than being French nowadays. It is based on the ''droit du sol'' (which means that your nationality depends on your birth location, not your parents' or grand parents'). Race or skin color has nothing to do with it.
