I am currently writing a letter that i intend to send to every state representative in this country detailing how and why a states legislature can change from the current model of determining candidates and the system for voting for said candidates to a system that allows for more plurality within the system.

I hate the two party system and everything it stands for. Its hardly better than many one party systems across the globe today. I think people are deluded in thinking that there is any realistic difference when it comes to policy making on either side.

People just do not notice it because they are willfully ignorant and the way that our leaders are selected leaves policy specifics out of the discussion.

This is precisely why even though I think his policy is untenable I think Paul running on a major ticket would serve this country well.

Ron Paul has said it's very unlikely that he will run in as a 3rd party candidate so this is probably it for him.

I wouldn't say it's a sure thing that Obama is going to serve Bush's 4th term. Historically, presidents have needed to have an approval rating at least around 48% to 50% in election time to get a 2nd term. Obama's numbers right now are about 42 to 44% which isn't good.

I don't see how a parliamentary system would change the problems listed.
So you think we shouldn't have a direct representative from a specific district?
