Anderson looks like a young version of Jefferson.

Green is a serious basketball player with a solid basketball background.

As for Leonard, the Hill trade looks increasingly absurd, unless Lorbek switches team AND Bertrans develops into a complete player.

Parker has 2 modes that are incompatible with each other: either he is aggressive and scores, or he is more laid back and get everybody involved (high assists). He's definitely transitioning between the 2 modes right now, which obviously has an adverse effect on his scoring.

I'd rather see him in assist-mode, though, as this is how he will be able to contribute in his early 30s. Hopefully with more and more games in assist-mode he finds ways to score too.

I think starting him is a great idea actually. This is the perfect time to see what hes made of, and not the time to leave him on the bench. The coaching staff gets a great look at JA in a situation like this and JA's probably dreamed of a playing time like this since hes was just a kid.

IF James Anderson is ever going to become something in this league, now is a great time to evaluate his potential.
I hope Pop does this so he'll be able to see right away that JA in no way shape or form will cut it as a starter and that will be the end of all the hype over this kid.

Also the quicker JA fails, the quicker Danny Green will get HIS chance to prove himself.

Sadly with Manu out he will force to be the scorer again ... but his legs seem not up to it after playing in Europe through the lockout ...

What a bad game was that

being a spurs fan you always pray for them not to get injured...

Manu especially as he was a top10 guy in the league and prob top3 in a valuable meaning to the team.

Wolves were in b2b game but the spurs looked slow and unenergetic. They looked old. The youngsters are not giving the spark.

Bad feeling when you think about long run this year with this group of guys.

And Tim was limping a bit when he came back cooled off at the end of a game. Not a good sign at the beginning of a year.

btw. he is not an offensive threat anymore esp. when he drives to the basket

    not good

Manu is everything to this team. Tim is finished and has been for the last 3 years. At best, he can grab rebounds and hit an occasional jumper but he just cant move.

Replacing Manu's points is hard enough but replacing his effort and will to win is damn near impossible.

JA is practically a rookie. He's not the answer. LOL, the Cowboys and Spurs may have both been eliminated from playoff contention on consecutive days.

Attach your emotions to something or someone else folks. This isnt going to end well.

Good lord, what a homer!! The Tpups bead us down on both ends. What did they shoot for the game 60%.

How about an F....For ed as Pops and RC seem to have not read old Albert I's def of insanity!

We cant defend the post, and now look like we cant defend the outside, we cant rebound, have almost no pust scoring, and Manu again is hurt!

But what ever...lets just keep doing what we have done the last 3 years.
Did you even watch the game? A majority of the scoring by the Wolves were jumpers. There was hardly a post game for either team.

Pop's ceiling this year may be getting enough wins to make the playoffs at #8. He's not gonna look good with the Big 3 in trouble--Parker not playing well, Manu out and Duncan just taking up space.

The danger of relying on JA becomes more apparent every day.

Without Manu, as has been the case for years now, and because of the shorter, compressed schedule, the Spurs are toast. This is a devastating setback and the Spurs should really consider prepping for the 2012-2013 season. Let's see how far they can get with the young guys playing.

With expectations now firmly in-check / no sluggers chance or catching fire at the right time (like the Mavs' sorry ass team last year), this actually could be fun. I won't expect them to win any night.

That doesn't fit his current agenda.

    Kawhi Leonard C+
In Leonard's 17 minutes, he didn't hurt the Spurs much but he also wasn't helping. He had good activity on defense, although his contribution on that end was minimal. Offensively, he continues to cut well but he looks surprisingly unathletic when finishing at the basket. Leonard just isn't much of a leaper, especially off of two feet. All in all, Leonard's search for his niche is ongoing.
Shoot, I really believed Khawmi was gonna be our new Gerald Wallace. Dammit.

Actualy, rumor has it that Texas two step, to make his fantasy as Spurs GM more realistic, has built his own luxury box in his basement, and watches all the Spurs games in it.

The Spurs still have a chance of being a good defensive team. I like what I see from Kawhi. The lineup with Tim and Tiago held the T'Wolves to only 12 4Q points. Their problem in the fourth was lack of scoring.
