Just let it go and have a good time on your own. It's not like you will have to be around them all the time on that big ass boat. Plenty of stuff to do. On another note...the richer comments don't apply all that much to cruises. The are pretty damn cheap now and if you pay for a block of people you can get group rates that make it even cheaper.

I am sure the sister-in-law simply did not want to spend an entire vacation with your family, so she invited along some people with whom she likes to spend time. It also seems pretty clear that mostly you are angry because you assume your brother will do what she wants instead of spending time with you all.

I personally think it's selfish a bs of your sil to take advantage of a free family trip by inviting friends of hers to come along. She's taking this free family vacation and turning it into a couples vacation assuming she's going to have free babysitting the whole time. How come they weren't invited last year? That's the one I'm going on. Last week of January. I've been on that same itinerary before so I'm only going to get off in Grand Cayman. Place is just beautiful.

It's one big ass ship. I went on the Conquest last time and they are saying this one is quite a bit bigger...which is hard for me to wrap my brain around because the Conquest was big too. I'll give you the skinny on the best places to go on the ship when I get back.

If you confront her with it, you risk driving a wedge between you and your brother. Just convey to your brother that you want to be able to spend some time together, if that's what you want, without getting into this drama.

If you don't want to spend that much time with the people who went out of their way to pay for your cruise, then you don't go on the cruise. If you want to spend time with friends on a cruise, then save up money and pay for your own damn cruise.

My advice to the OP, just let it go. It is what it is. Make sure your pops knows how much you appreciate it. Don't let any negative spin or passive aggressiveness take over. Enjoy it. You being upset and causing a rift will only make the trip worse for everyone involved, including your father. It seems that's the one who you feel deserves the respect.

One last note, nobody ever invite Ploto anywhere. She will think you are imprisoning her by expecting her to spend time with you.
