they call him the Golden God
Real talk, why does the rest of the world overrate Greece in basketball? I remember last olympics everybody had them winning bronze. They haven't done jack to earn recognition and should be in the same class as Angola.
Magic is definitely the greatest greek player of all-time, though Isiah and Rodman are also significantly better than Splitter.
certain loud greek/arkansas dumbasses posting proliferately throughout the internets could partially be to blame
but seriously, it's all hype machine for the olympics. I don't see how anyone (in the states or near) could care about anything other than NBA/American college hoops any other time.
Papaloukas was the best player in Europe some years ago.
He was the leader of Greek national team when they defeated the USA team in 2006.His talent and his knowledge of the game destroyed LeBron,Wade & cia.
But outside Papaloukas we should return to the 80s to find a player from Greece better than Splitter.
This thread will have to be considered a failure if manu_forever fails to respond.

Wow, Tiago won the Euroleague MVP too? Man that guy is really good. Chalk up another fine achievement for Splitter's resume.
He's got a FG% near 65%
Last 5 games?
15.0 ppg 7.6 rbs with 72.5% on 8 att
I'd say thats pretty impressive.

No. All born and raised in Argentina.
Kosta Koufus, on the other hand, was born in Canton, Ohio. He's American.
I demand a link.
That looks about right. Splitter with his well deserved Euroleague MVP.
Lebanese, born and raised.
And got out as quickly as he could.
Greece couldn't even accept him as a citizen because they knew his virile seed would wipe out the inferior indigenous male breeding stock.
I was talking about your stupid claim about taking away their medals.
Give us the link.
He didn't move until he was 9. Raised in Lebanon.
Link please.
Just show us the links or STFU.
What's strange about it. Splitter deserved his Euroleague MVP award.
Go ahead.
