Start Manu and bench RJ! KL won't be such a liability on offense with Manu and TP on the court.

"When Ginobili does return, Popovich said he’s leaning toward bringing the former Sixth Man of the Year off the bench in order to ease him into game action."

Whens the first game we hear Barkley scream..."GINOBLI"

Can't wait. btw...Being Parker and Duncan are a primarily two man game when on the court together...Manu and Splitter as your primary 2nd tier just may be the best way to go for the rest of the season.

I'd like him to come of the bench, so he and Splitter learn to play with each other. I also hope that Manu's return brings Blair back to life. The two have good chemistry.
This is really important - Blair was really good to start the season and some of that was the easy baskets Manu fed him.

I suspect that's right, but I question the wisdom of Manu starting again. Tim and Tony really have it going right now, so he's not really needed with the starting unit, and with Ford still out I'd like to see Manu become the playmaker when Tony sits.
That makes sense to me until TJ comes back, and whenever the bench is sputtering.

We've been riding Tim and especially Tony really hard. They need some relief and Manu can provide it. Not to mention how much better Blair plays with Manu out there. He might come off the bench for a game or 2, but ultimately we'd be better off with him starting. Our bench is playing incredibly well as it is and hasn't been a weak spot at all.
That sounds spot on to me. Bring him off the bench for a few games then get him back into the starting lineup. Pop should try and use him in short spurts (no more than 6mins, unless he's hot) so that he can bring Manu in with either unit any time things go stale. Manu has a rare ability to shift the momentum in a game, and Pop should use it.

This article may have been posted elsewhere on this forum, but it has a couple of gems from Tony regarding Manu's progress -

“I’m going to stay and watch Manu shoot,” Parker told a Spurs staffer...

“It just feels great to see him out here, doing teardrops and moving around,” Parker said. “Hopefully he can come back soon.”

If he wants to see Manu shoot, he should pass him the ball more.

I 2nd that. Manu is the guy who makes the players around him better. Bring him off the bench for the development of Green and Tiago. In my ultimate dream, I would have Tiago starting with Tim, Leonard, Green, and Parker; leaving Manu leading the way with his already established pick and roll with Blair, play-making ability with RJ and (cough) Bonner, and hopefully TJ in the backcourt.

    One can only dream though!

I am actually surprised that is going to be during the RRT. Pop is usually overcautious (in a good way) about injuries like that and not rush them back in order to not re-injure.

I am sure he will come off the bench IMO, that has been Pop's MO in previous times.
