The return of El Contusion'
The Spurs have gone 15-8 since the Manu injury started. Most people on here predicted they would play under .500 ball until he came back. The Spurs have done better than expected.
The return of El Contusion'
i was on that bandwagon this rag tag group of spurs have far exceeded our expectations
Players have exceeded expectations. Even the Spurs staff have said that about some of the players. I'm always happy to be wrong in situations like this. Great effort from the Spurs players.
So did Manu look pissed all night that he wasn't on the floor?
To be exact, TP and Timmy have both hit their stride and are playing mostly superb basketball, Splitter and Leonard have been much better than even the most optimistic projections, few people expected anything from Green yet he's become a streaky but often useful rotation player, and Neal and Bonner have played up to their abilities. Grizz and RJ are the only ones who haven't outperformed, and they haven't been terrible, just not what we fans would hope for.
Not really... he was chatting up with TJ Ford all game and "instructing" Danny Green a bit... he ended up sitting at the end of the bench instead of behind.
Friends of Bonner, kid you not
They had passes to meet with Matt after the game
I saw you on tv after the game when all the players were going to the lockeroom
lol might have saw your ass on TV
Y'all probably did...
I saw myself + wife on the ESPN highlights.... uploading pics... will be posted soon
manu better not mess this up
bring manu off the bench and do not mess this up
Manu is a starter, and our best player.
Whats funny is most of us were happy if we went .500 without Manu and thought this all was over here! I thought they would be horrible without him, but they were not by any means and lights out lately! Should have won the Dallas game but oh well. They have 6 in a row now without him, this was unexpected.STFU UP DUCK.
Good news.
So, Spurs have played a third of the season (22 games) without Manu and have gone 15-7 during that stretch. Manu can be proud of his teammates because they have done an heck of a job while he was out.
Spurs teams has an easy week with some rest and games against bad teams. If they don't relax too much, wins should continue to come at a high pace.
I still don't think I would bring him back until at least after the AS break. They have been so good without him they should not be so desperate to bring him back so soon.
I think Pop will play him 8 min, then 16, then 19, then 22, then 26 or something like that not to ruin the chemistry and probably won't close games at the beginning...![]()
Manu led the team to 61 wins last season. This season he had a PER of 35. He was shooting 59/52/94. He's the best player on the team. I don't see how he could mess it up.
the sooner hes back the better.
I have this weird gut feeling that the way Tony has been playing recently is just begging for an injury. We gotta take the pressure off him. He's been playing like 40 mins in back to backs continuously.
Oh yeah easily! I expected them to fall back to around 10th or near that in the West and were going to be around .400 ball or something with all those road games! I was wrong and happy I was.
Talk is that Manu will be coming off of the bench.
