But at least siri can call you rock god
Well its not a dedicated App. Its actually a widget. It has what apps are active, download history(yes, in androids you can download apps AND pretty much whatever you want to download........................without having to be connected to another machine and transfer it to your phone immediately), a RAM manager, storage levels indicator(SD cards) and a tutorial to save battery life. Its a widget I could pretty much put anywhere on the phone. Not a permanent physical one like yours.
Your turn
Oh and I just need two taps to execute it.
Ahh, didn't know it was a widget. Or that widgets were somehow not applications.
Does anyone have a note?
don't really even need to access the app. it can literally be one press, and thats it, everything is closed and you have 400 more MB of free RAM
Some widgets aren't applications. Such as clocks. They can serve the purpose of simply making the home screens look nicer without having any other functions.
I know in Ice Cream Sandwich it's built in. For my Galaxy S2 I hold the home button (as opposed to the on screen button on the Nexus) for a second then i can swipe away apps.
i cant believe there still making stuff for 2.3
All solved in 4.0. (except for battery life)
I have yet to downlaod an app killer on my Galaxy Nexus since they have a mul ask window at the bottom. Simply swipe away the ones you are done using.
All widgets are by definition applications.
i agree with lee. These are apps that are constantly running to improve efficiency.
i only use a couple of widgets.
-Power/Screen Brightness/GPS/Wifi bar (so eay to toggle on and off)
-One touch dialing for important contacts (love it)
-Google Calender Widget (shows my schedule without opening an app)
I saw this about the best dialers for Android, do you use this one?
http://lifehacker.com/5887599/the-be...er-for-android
from what I am reading this functionality is built into the sense dialer
I don't use widgets at all on any of my computers either, I never really understood the appeal.
i love the widgets....
Here's a screen shot (yes, ICS has Screen shot capture) of my Direct Dialing widget and Toggle Bar Widget. These are all Android based widgets, not 3rd party:
Its just pretty much icons of your contacts that you want to instant dial.
Yeah. You really don't need an App killer for android. Simply back
out of the App and it automatically shuts down.
Physical home button ll
Never really understood the appeal of apps?![]()
Anyone have a an actual Samsung galaxy note review? This thing looks sweet
I kill all my apps with 1 tap
Beat that ....
Power button doesn't count silly.
I just give my phone a threatening glance, tbh.
