We are different than last year
Last season it was all offense, ty D
This season our Di is imporved, and our offense not so hot at times
If OKC is the team we have the best chance against then call it a first round exit again. I disagree on that being the best matchup, they right now are atop the West.

If it's any consolation you never had a chance anyways...
Basically the same roster. No major star upgrade. No frontline upgrade. No frontline depth. Still too reliant on Bonner and Jefferson.
All the regular season wins are just making next years team weaker with a poorer draft pick.
What annoys me about it is that the rest of the team has to play harder to compensate for the pathetic frontline. TP/Manu was better than Conely/Allen but it didn't matter. We have one of the best backcourts but that advantage is nullified by the frontcourt weakness. If the frontcourt could just hold its own we'd still have a positive advantage.
I've never understood that line of thinking.
Guys making millions every year have to give effort and that bothers you.
Any player who can step his game up on command but doesn't do so unless under pressure is a piece of and doesn't deserve to be in the league. These guys should all be playing as hard as they can, always.
Exactly! Honestly I can't believe how much of a beating our PG's were taking every time they went inside. And I can't believe how many calls Rose got. That game was trash. It seems like any time we play the Heat it's even worse. Just let us in compete and let the players decide who wins. .
Spurs do have a lot of similar match up weaknesses as last year. Especially an unhealthy Spurs squad. We do not want to face against an athletic or big team. And those were the traits that the Grizz excelled at last season. Spurs looked like they were playing in slow motion compared to the Grizz backcourt and the Grizz frontcourt just overpowered and frustrated the Spurs in the paint and at midrange.
Splitter's emergence and Leonard's length may make enough of a difference but the Spurs still need the same old things that they have always needed in the past few seasons: health and another legit big. Still I think the West is a crapshoot and the Spurs have a pretty good chance of reaching the Finals![]()
Agreed with Cane. We do have Splitter this year, and he actually gets to play. He will help a lot against a team like the Grizz. And Leonard gives us an upgrade over RJ. Lets face it, they are both mediocre on Offense, but Leonard plays D actually. So right there we have added more length. And if Manu is healthy, the whole team really, I think we can win the West. I don't think we can beat the Heat as comprised. If we could get one more god damned big who wasn't .......
I'm all for trading Blair, and our a couple future first round picks for a big man. Do what it takes. Just don't get some 30 or 31 year old if you are going to give up your future picks. And I know everyone keeps saying hey, we will have cap room next year. That's fine, but Manu, Tim, and Tony will be that much older. The window is in closing. We can't be naive anymore.
Way to stay positive chief...![]()

I'm trying to figure out why everyone is on Parker's nuts for his "amazing season." The amazing 20 points a game and 8 assists a game. WOW. You act like Parker is going 25 and 9. He played some good games this year when we needed him yes, but lets not be blinded by our love for the Spurs. For every 35 point and 11 assist game there is a 15 and 4 game. We saw our "MVP" against the Bulls and he was awful shooting and passing. And he kept turning the ball over. I'm not dazzled, Parker is what he is, good, inconsistent, and not great.
Big difference from last year: this year we're getting better, not worse, as the season wears on. The defence has improved drastically in the past 15 games, the offense is already elite with Manu still to come back, and we have a bunch of players who can go off on any given night. We're no lock, but I like our chances to get to the WCFs this year if the D keeps improving.
Didn't take long for the sharks to smell blood in the water, just one game actually.
I am not worried about Parker and playing Splitter and Kawhi make us a better team then last year. My issue are with Manu can he get healthy to make a difference? And then RJ, Anderson, and Blair....We need another big!
You really need your "my cute neighbor Sarah" moment.
