I think it takes a lot to really bother me, but that was incredibly disturbing.

I was at a funeral once and a fight broke out. The whole thing was amped up by the brothers of one of the grieving jumping the uncle of the other grieveing half from behind. There were at least 20 people just fighting, and everyone who went to the pile just jumped in while the others just stood in disbelief.
I remember holding my baby daughter while watching it unfold, watching no one else join in and just muttering "Aw " before handing over my daughter to my then wife and going in to try and break it up. I ended up finding the guy who got jumped (who I knew since I was a kid), pulling him out from under the pile and holding him back. After that, the fight just broke apart.
It only takes one person to get the ball rolling, but the thing is, as Malcolm Gladwell stated in "Tipping Point", when there are more people around, something like that is less likely to break up because everyone assumes someone else is going to step in and deal with it.

There was at least one. Most were mexican. All should have their throats slit and their bodies thrown into a dumpster.

I know its easy to act all hard on the internet, but how many of you would actually jump in to try to stop the same guys that just stabbed a guy? Stopping someone during a fist fight is one thing stopping someone during a stabbing is another thing. Ill let the pigs handle that .
Lol I wouldn't even step in if I saw an old lady getting beat to death, I value my life to much to be the next "hero" who gets shot for trying to help someone.

Cell phone video from South Padre Island Saturday evening captured the brutal attack on 21 year old Derek Madrigal leaving him unconscious covered in his own blood.
Gabrielle doesn't want her last name to be used, but she was there and says this started when at least eight to 14 men came to their tent possibly looking for revenge for fight that had happened earlier in the day.
She says Madrigal was not involved and was trying to calm things down when this man swung at him and missed hitting her.
"And he nailed me in my cheek. He hit me hard enough to where my head turned but not to where I was like injured or anything", Gabrielle said.
She says Madrigal was then dragged away into a circle and that's when the beating began.
"The crowd was so thick and all of a sudden you see coolers going up", she said.
Gabrielle says the beating lasted at least three minutes. Madrigal was also stabbed nine times in head and torso. One of his lungs was punctured.
Two bystanders rescued Madrigal from his attackers.
Police later arrested 33 year old Michael Rangel and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon. Gabrielle would like to see charges upgraded.
"I mean you don't stab somebody nine times and you're not intending to kill them", she said.
As word of the attack spread, many of Madrigal's friends are in disbelief. James Dicarlo and Walter Walford have known him since high school.
"He definitely didn't deserve anything like that especially trying to help out somebody else. It's not really fair", Dicarlo said.
"I just hope that they get everybody that was involved and see what happened. Instead of just taking one guy, take the whole group", Walford said.
Madrigal is at a hospital in Harlingen where he's had surgery and is awake and talking. He doesn't remember much about the fight. His parents hope to bring him home later this week.
Meanwhile his friends have started a facebook page calling for all the men involved to be brought to justice. You can find it here.

Its tough to say "I would help the guy" unless you were there. Personally I would want to but if I'm going at it solo I will end up just like him. Thankfully someone came to his rescue or else dozens of people would have witnessed a murder.

last time I saw a guy get jumped by 2 guys, I grabbed a bike that was lying there and used it as a battering ram to help the dude
