Should have traded for Dwight Howard. This front office sucks!
Yeah, why didn't we pick up Aldridge and Love while we were at it?

Anyone that says that the trade of Richard Jefferson for Stephen Jackson is a lateral move, is someone whose opinion should be disregarded completely.

You might make a thousand good points in the coming year but most will never pay them any mind. You done mucked up.

It is evident that Gregzilla is really Trollzilla or has one of the lowest BBIQs of any Spur fan.

-we actually managed to get rid of jefferson in return for: a fan favorite, fiery compe or who doesn't shy away from big shots and embraces defending anyone... oh, it also saves us about $12 million dollars.

-after tj's sudden retirement, i think patty mills is a better pick-up than the only other options available: fisher and carter.

-i think boris diaw is better pick-up than the only other options available: hickson, turiaf, hollins.

we didn't get an elite defender to put next to duncan, but given our limited trade assets our moves add up to a lot more than a c+ imo.

let's stay healthy and drive for five.

I like the other moves for now but I don't think you can grade the Diaw move until we see how Pop uses him. RC got Splitter last year and then Pop sat him on the end of the bench for no good reason. The weakest links in are froncourt are Bonner/Blair. We know Pop loves Bonner. We know he hates Tiago for some reason. He's afraid of Blair losing confidence. It's too hard to tell.

But let me add in '09 Buford added Dice and RJ and people were talking championship. It took Pop the whole season to figure out rotations and he never really maximized those additions. The jury is still out on how good Pop is at integrating players that are already good. Too his credit he's good at maximizing players who were nobody's before like Neal and Green.

Gregzilla is hard to figure out. He's one of those that is so persistent that you have a hint that he's trolling but then you realize he genuinely believes his dribbling onto his keyboard.

    <Insert unanimous Gregzilla is a statement here.>

    Dumping RJ's contract = A
Receiving Stephen Jackson in exchange = B-
    Signing Patty Mills = D
    Signing Boris Diaw = C-

The Spurs main focus with dumping Jefferson is that they get something of equal value in return..Jackson is good replacement but does not bring extra value to the team. We were 1st in the West last yr with RJ and currently 2nd place now. Jackson will avg the same #'s and we will not miss a beat offensively. Def not a step back but a lateral move imo.

The truth about Patty Mills is that he will NOT even see the floor come playoff time. If pop was hesitant with playing GHill what makes u think mills will get ANY pt? Mills is just like the Ford's, Joseph's, and Ahearn's of the team.. 0 impact on wins and losses.

Diaw is not the Diaw we ran into yrs ago against PHX in the playoffs. He is overweight, is NOT a good defender (contrary to what his friend TP said) and had his best shooting years in Phx with Nash & Co...we have totally different systems and he brings no low post scoring to the table.

The spurs FO dropped the ball AGAIN and failed to get a decent defending/rebounding big man to help Duncan down low. We have pretty much the same team as last year..that's the truth. Another 1st round exit most likely or at best 2nd round appearance. This is NOT a championship team. We can sure win a of a lot of regular season games though. Deuces

Agree. The Spurs could have picked up anyone and this board would have been excited with optimism.

It is the same core team that flamed out last year, still weak on the frontline. With some luck they can win a round or two so there is some hope for improvement from last year but still far from a le contender with the current frontline.

Picking up castoff players from lottery bound teams is suppose to get the team to a le. Jackson is a past memory of a former Spurs player, Diaw is a lottery team castoff player that won't get enough minutes to make much of a contribution and Mills won't see the court at all and if he does the Spurs are in real trouble. The Spurs droped the ball when they decided to do nothing last offseason and atr the trade deadline, now it was like ususal, just getting low end role players that aren't good enough to make any type of difference.
