Shane Battier is not overrated. He's one of the smartest role players in the game, good defender. Any team would like to have Shane.

Not having Rudy last year was a plus. And last year they had Sam Young, Shane Battier, Greivis Vasquez and Darrell Arthur off the bench...

ZBo will also be starting by the time the playoffs roll around... They just simply don't have enough up front with Gasol/Speights...

Speights = Arthur in my book (this from me witnessing him having good games against the Lakers tbh). Vasquez was a flash in the pan at best. Battier was their Fisher: a checker with good leadership.

You can call Vazquez whatever, but he dropped more points than OJ Mayo on the closing game.
