Why spurfan so obsessed with changing lineups? Seems like pop each game wants to see what his 3 young guys in the starting lineup will give him, lenard, blair and green. If they not giving effort/energy he can just sub in one of his vets, neal, jackson or manu. It looks like pop is wearing out the opposing team with his youngings, and finishing games with his vets, or whichever one of his young players is hot that night. I like how he's making such efficient use of his depth to grind the opposition in this shortened season.

Nickname for Danny Green: Double-edged sword.

He's really great to have around when you need a big play or a steal, but he tends to give up big plays and have huge lapses on defense at times as well. Fortunately he's not going to be the determining factor to whether or not the Spurs contend for a le.
True, as good as Green does play at times, he's also just as capable of having a completely horrible game. He is frustratingly inconsistent at times and can also shoot too much. He needs to work on being less streaky and more consistent, but that may come in time...

It surely will come with more time and experience. Honestly, he's deserved the starter's role and has mostly been a highly positive addition to the team this season. Plus, Manu thrives off the bench too so everything is working out smoothly right now for us.

Green will still be the starter come playoff time, he's practically replaced RJ's 3 point efficiency (he's shooting at 39.8% on the season, and 43% counting March + April stats), and is capable of playing great pressure defense and scoring when needed. I'm sure he won't fade in the pressure come playoff time as he's a tough player and brings much more to the table when compared to RJ who only provided 3's regularly and could not be relied on in the playoffs. However, I hope Blair will not be a starter when the playoffs start.

I like the starting lineup that Pop had out last night. The only change I would make would be Splitter for Diaw if the Spurs play the Lakers or Grizz in the playoffs.

Ginobli is that spark plug off the bench. Add in Bonner, Blair, Neal, and SJax along with Splitter/Diaw, these guys pretty outscore opponents teams benches night in and night out. This IMO, is why the Spurs can beat any team because they are so deep and there is next to none drop off in their scoring bench comes in. Likes of Durant, Kobe, Westbrook, Dirk, etc cant play 40+ minutes a night in a 7 games series and expect to beat the Spurs. Mavs won last year because they had the deepest bench.
Westbrook and Durant will absolutely play 40+ minutes, most likely 44+ actually and depth IS overated, that's why Chicago is not the favorite in the East.
