His arms are so long he doesn't really have to elevate on his jams.

    Awesome dunk.

It looks like that Sac player put a screen on his own teammate.

For me he already is special ... he is 19 years old, a starter in a Spurs uniform who had no real training camp ... he defends, can handle the ball ... finish coast to coast ... he is quiet ... and I love his dunks from the baseline

I think his ceiling could be Scottie Pippen except he's not quite as athletic.

I love how no matter what happens Kawhi always has the same calm look on his face. Whether he just dunked someone's ass or got a call...POKER FACE. No strutting around chest thumping or putting his arms out like he's a jet...

I can't believe anyone would think that layup was exceptional

    The dunk though, very nice.

    Excellent thread... KaWOW indeed!

Leonard is sneaky-good in all kinds of unexpected ways. His ceiling as a player is a lot higher than I thought at first. Another coup for the FO.

The Spurs broadcast had a better angle, almost head on from behind the basket. He elevated, looked like he was either going to feed the ball with his right hand or maybe flush it, and while in the air, switched the ball to his left hand and finished cleanly.

I had fallen asleep at halftime but left the game streaming on my computer next to me. I woke up at about the 6:30 mark in the third quarter. I wonder if that dunk woke me up.....

Leonard is definitely going to be something special. He has the physical tools and more importantly, a great work ethic to possibly make him an all star. Remember, he didn't shoot well from 3's in college and now with no training camp and condensed schedule, he shooting pretty damn good from the NBA line. I expect big improvements in his 2nd year.

There was a part of the spurs broadcast when they came back from commercial and broke down the play where Leonard stole the ball and pulled off that layup. It was filmed entirely by a camera under the basket. Great angle. They also broke down manu on the bench watching the play and once Kawhi had completed the steal he smiled and laughed in disbelief.

what's great about Leonard (so far) is that he just plays/respects the game seriously, no bull , no drama, no prima donna/bad boy at ude.

He may "mature" into an asshole, but so far, what a great contributor.

It's his work ethic. He spent the entire summer/lockout working on his shot, allegedly. Give him a summer with the actual Spurs coaching staff to work on his game(dribble-drives, running the PnR), and he'll be incredible.

This article was posted last month. Shows what a great fit Kawhi and the Spurs are for one another:

On the dunk, Diaw had nobody within 20 feet of him and passed it to a covered Kawhi. Classic Diaw

The amazing part of the dunk was that he picked up the ball about three feet from the lane and was able to maneuver around two players and finish with a reverse dunk.

My favorite part of Kawhi's game is his patience. You almost never see him out of control.

OMG, I seriously hope he stays a Spur and doesn't become a Grade A Asshole--not that I know what all the Spurs are really like behind closed doors or anything.

I hope The Spurs do whatever they possibly can to keep this rising Superstar rising, I really do.

Everytime this kid snatches the ball from the opponent, I immediately just start to completely die laughing. I seriously cannot stop laughing my arse off and then -- "KAWOW!!"

Him and Danny are just "little thieves" out there! Two Little F'ing Thieves, I swear!! LOVE.IT.LOVE.IT.LOVE.IT.
