They are all jealous of Culburn, who was a trend setter and who set trends. They are trying to set their own trends.
I remember back when the thing HS ball players did was to neatly fold, starch and iron a shop rag, white rag, anything like that, and hang it from their back pocket. This was about the same time the Chuck Taylors were being played with the tongue down, socks displayed, and the pants rolled up one cuff, barely touching the tops of the high top shoes. Ball players did it so others followed suit. That was before the painters caps and white oxford shirts untucked.
It is what it is. Let them do what they want. No harm no foul.
