Hopefully it is a trend but as mentioned completely different teams.
last team to win a ring with class after two two sweeps was in 99![]()
they probably have to worry about this:

Two teams is hardly a large enough statistical sample size to draw conclusions.
Its not a failure at this point.
Spurs hadn't smelled the conference finals in for a minute now, if they end up losing to OKC it would not be because of lack of effort.
As long as Thunder dont sweep the Spurs or isn't at least a compe ive series, its not gonna bother me.
I'm just saying that if the Spurs have to win the championship, I want them to struggle a little bit and face some compe ion and adversity for a change. It would be nice to see them finally trail an NBA Finals series.
Maybe the spurs just make it look easy![]()
Interesting, I'd never realized that before (that the Spurs have never trailed in the Finals.)
The Spurs have it easy in pretty much every playoff series they've played in the 4 years that they've hoisted the Larry O'Brien Trophy. I mean be honest, excluding the 2005 NBA Finals, the Spurs have never been challenged, faced adversity, or been tested. I want them to be tested, face adversity, and face some in' compe ion in the playoffs.
Spurs - Nets was tougher than it looked (remember, NJ stole HCA in Game 2).
Don't sweep the first two rounds in the NBA playoffs because you won't make it to the Finals. Is it a recent curse?
