5
5 or 6 game series, depending on whether the Spurs drop one of the first two games.

I don't see the Spurs losing this series.
The Spurs have a player in Kawhi that could trouble Durant enough to give them real problems. They remind me of an earlier version of the Spurs where a win depended heavily on the big 3 showing up. The Thunder's scoring seems to rely heavily on Durant/Westbrook/Harden. Our team is less dependent on any one player going off. I give our bench a definite edge in this matchup.
The Thunder are a jumpshooting team in the true sense whereas a lot of our points have been in the paint with Tim's emergence and Tony's proclivity for scoring close to the basket. We do like to shoot 3's but we are also the best team around at doing it.
I just don't see us losing 4 games to any team the way we are playing right now. Even less so with home court advantage. I can see the contest going 6 games with us squeaking one out in OKC but I think there is the possibility of winning in 5 - especially if Manu returns to form.
Last time we played both Lakers and Thunder we blew both of them out but the Lakers length always was an issue for us, not this jump shooting Thunder team
Spurs should sweep, maybe lose one game
the thunder are a good team
sweeping them would be the biggest shock in nba
gnsf overconfidence
series going 6 or 7
No HC for thunder, no Kobe/Lakers 4qt choke job and terrible down the stretch execution for them to rely on
No way the Spurs sweep them. This is going to be a long, tough, knockout, drag out dogfight. 6 or 7 game series for sure....
dude the thunder went toe to toe with dallas last year in the western conference finals
Has a team ever swept all series to the NBA finals?
lets just hope their d on the spurs in 4 does not cause the spurs to have that choke job you call
No sweep, but 5 or 6 is a reasonable expectation. OKC's first two opponents were drowning in iden y crises. The Mavs couldn't get it back together after blowing up their championship team and Kobe was calling out teammates by name after losses, he set that locker room on fire. The Spurs are the exact opposite right now, they're in control of their game and all on the same page. Mavs and Lakers both blew 4th quarter leads in Oklahoma City. If in the same situation, I think the Spurs will be able to hold on.
2001 Lakers did it and then won the Finals 4-1. But back then the first round was a 5 game series so they made the Finals at 11-0. If the Spurs sweep the Thunder (very unlikely) they would make the Finals at 12-0.
Spurs in 6. This will be Tony Parker's breakout series, too. Look for him to average 25 and 8. The Thunder's pick-and-roll defense is not great; the Spurs' pick-and-roll offense is great.
Don't go overboard here! Thunder can end us in 4 or 5 games too. Rmr the suns? they swept us. This is going to be one of the toughest series in our franchise history.
Spurs in 4. The toughest games will be games 1 and 2, surprisingly. Then the Spurs win game 3 in a laugher and everybody will be all shocked. Then the Spurs throw down the Thor Hammer in game 4 in front of all those girly blue shirts.
thunder have some pretty capable defenders. perkins might shut down duncan in the low post, ibaka will be patrolling the paint against parker's drive, sefolosha and harden can smother an already struggling ginobili, and durant can always play solid defense when he needs to. i predict a very tough series. how will the spurs respond if they no longer get easy shots?
5 games.
As mentioned, Dallas and Lakers are the polar opposite of who the Spurs are at this point of the season.
Spurs are fresh, in harmony, sharp, selfless... full of hungry unafraid youngsters and men in the latter half of their careers driven to taste the Championship one more time.
I always remember that Timmy interview where he said he wants a Bill Russell trophy.
They might have the bigger guns, but we have more ammo and more weapons.
I keep saying this time and time again but so many people are overatting the thunder they are just a jump shooting team that could of easiley lost to dallas and the lakers had they not of chocked away their 4 quater leads in OKC, Spurs are a much better overall team and will out excute the thunder not expecting blowout wins but wins none the less. Spurs should finish this in 5 games 4 tbh wouldn't be shocking though the way the team is currentley playing. Also those who doubt kawhi can't handle Durant will be eating crow dude has shown up to play each time he has gone up against durant I don't know why but playing the thunder brings out the best in Kawhi and it will show this series.
Overrating? Judging by the people who are saying spurs in 4 I say thunder are being underrated big time... Flying under the radar is fine to me.
