Seriously though, he was so scared of a fifteen year old girl's accusations (which were inconsistent to begin with) that he chose to pleadno contest? Any defense lawyer worth a could have put the screws to her in questioning, destroyed her credibility, and gotten him a not guilty verdict. That tells me something else was up, and this is not just some innocent man here.

Maybe it was good he went to jail and got his spirit straight. The NFL is a crapshoot. Injuries, temptations, etc. Money's not everything. There's a good chance he'd be out of the league and broke by now anyway. Not to mention, the real possibility of losing his mental faculties at the age of 40 due to all the hits.
