now now whats funny? We could be the Rockets![]()
unlike you, I don't have delusion of grandeur. they Rockets will assuredly not be beasting.
Seriously WTF@these ridiculous contracts being handed out to mediocre players. Is Lopez getting paid off the potential contract Howard would have if Lopez was traded, and now they are awarding Lopez for that? Honestly what the has Lopez done for them? They have lost there mind when they took on a 90million contract. Lol 90million dollars for bouncing a ball. Scl
ssy
you don't know what I mean by beasting, I mean just making the playoffs, which is the East is pretty easy, never say they win it all![]()
Man, I think the contract is too much, but people are really hating on Brook. He's shown he can be a decent rebounder (averaged 8+ per game his first two years) and it started to decline largely due to injuries.
I don't think he is dominant, but I think he is much better overall (if and when healthy) than many on here give him credit for. He can score in a variety of ways, has legit size, can move well and gets to the line at a very good clip and converts at a very solid clip usually (80+%).
brooklyn is the new home to garbage contracts now and the NY stock exchange market will soon be relocated there too imho, Nets are making themselves what the Knicks used to be back in the early half of 2000s![]()
He's a good offensively skilled center, but his defensive presence is equally bad. He's not a difference maker and will be a liability in the playoffs especially against Miami. I doubt he sees the floor late in games against teams like Miami and OKC. Just not athletic enough.
This might be the most outrageous contract I've seen a player receive.
Nah... Rashard Lewis, Allan Houston, TOSBryant...
For that price, they should get Robin, too.
on a serious note, for you high school educated americans it might seem like a lot, but for billionaire soviet russian basketball team owners it is pocket change, tbqh
David Aldridge: Nets' new contract commitments: $98M (DWill), $40M (Wallace), $89M (remainder of Joe Johnson's contract), $60M (Lopez). Total: $287 million.![]()
sums it up^
What fanbase?![]()
well said. I don't think he is the best center, but he is the best center in recent Nets history meaning from 2002-now. With a better team I want to see what he can do. So this year will show what he can do more with better players, because lets face it, the past seasons, it was him and one other dude. Now Nets will have Deron, Johnson, Wallace, Brook. And the past two season he was injured or sick. Coming off mono etc one year, then last year he of course hurt his foot
at the nets
but still, they probably will be better than the Knicks
that's the russian billionaire's mission. take out the knicks and its mission accomplished
They're paying him a max contract even though he has Yao-like feet.
