What went so wrong in your life that it came to this bro?
That wasn't the first or last girlfriend I had since then.

Oh yeah people always say how can you talk about spurs so much? They ask over and over, same people, and I always tell them SPURSTALK IS NOT JUST FOR TALKING ABOUT THE SPURS. It's crazy.

It matters, imo. I like to see my females physically and not imagine what they look like.

It only matters if you're all about what she looks like instead of what a you may feel for that person.

Its shallow as to get a girlfriend just on looks alone. Good luck with that.

How long till you actually met her physically, or was the NASCAR event the first time you met her?
Yep on that day, though she sent me pictures and whatnot so I knew what she looked like before hand. And hey, guess what it was really her.

And we officially didn't become boyfriend and girlfriend till much later on actually. It just sort of happen.

Do you get out much? That's quite the statement.

Every day when I go to work and back. Yeah I do get out quite often.

Not even sure what you were trying to even say here..

    Good for you.

Sucks tho now cause you guys aren't together, right?
    Nope.

    Commitment issues on both sides.

That's the problem with picking up strange people on the internet. I once met this chick off myspace way back when it was popular and we were like 17, just dumb kids do. Never again.

Don't trust anyone on the internet. Most likely shes meeting strange guys online for a reason, either shes a total or shes got some sort of issues preventing her from meeting guys in real life. (You're lucky it was just commitment issues) Besides, how you gonna introduce her to anyone? "Hey mom, this is my new girlfriend. We met on the internet." #fail

    Yeeeeeeah.

In a hypothetical situation, it would be sorta weird if I had to introduce my gf with the "We met online" thing. Just takes away some value to the relationship. Just means desperate people, went desperate measures to find love. Nothing wrong with that tho.

By the time we met I didn't considered her a strange person. Like I said, we had talked for a long ass time both online and on the phone.

Besides, we didn't really thought of ourselves as boyfriend and girlfriend till we officially met and even then it just sort of happen as we kept in contact.

As I see it, the worst that could have happened was that I meet this person on a sporting event and if I didn't like her or whatever the case I'd just walk.

Not to give you flames, but I wouldn't be able to take a relationships seriously if it's origin was online, be it an actual online dating site or a message board like this.

That's just me tho, everyone is different.

When your personal preference has no basis in reality then its really ing stupid. Oh , I first encountered this really hot smart and funny girl online? Yeah, no thanks! Now, if we had met at a bar, oh then it would be on!

Then again, the amount of people here who use this as some "racist outlet" and are afraid of their significant other seeing what they post on here is even worse. Its funny because if you actually have a worthwhile relationship then they already know your worst qualities.

Looks are something everyone considers but if one is to base having a girlfriend just on that then well, you're bound to get dissapointed when you find out she has no value.

Was she hot? Is she what you expected, physically?
Well like I said, she had sent me pictures of her so I knew what I was getting before even meeting her so yeah it was what I expected.

I dont know what you considered hot but she was a solid 7.5 I'd say.

I guess my biggest worry was that she lied about her looks but it all turned out well at the end. The only thing I was afraid of was that she was some fat .

The whole "I've met nicer people online than in live" thing got me to ask you that question. Just curious, that's all.
    No problem.

Miswording what you're trying to say happens.

"Live" was probably the wrong word to use. lol

Sure does but it was understandable why.

We were just too far apart. I ended up making most trips to her. Heavily one sided.

I didn't want to move to ty penn and she didn't want to move to NY.

    In the end, thank god.

Such drastic move would have implicated big changes in my life. If I were to move I would have to marry her and I didn't see myself doing that. s no.

thinking everyone looks at online dating the same

It's how I prefer to seek dates. I'm not a fan of online dating though I understand why people would resort to it. Why is that so ing stupid? smh

Where did I ever say I thought everyone viewed meeting people online the same? What I said was that your opinion was stupid. Its obviously different and I never said it had to be the same. Reading comprehension might help you out a bit.

You should seek dates however you want. If you come across a great person who is attractive online and you refuse to take a relationship with them serious because you first encountered them online then you're a complete ing moron.

When they are like many of you I'd probably agree. Not everyone feels the need to develop some weird e persona as an outlet for their teenage angst, though. Not everyone feels the need to be get their closeted tendencies out on the internet because they're afraid of what the real world thinks of them, though.

depends how you meet, and how much it reeks of desperation. meeting someone on a messageboard or dating site is really really weird to me and you'd have to go out of your way in order to find out what the person even looked like, where they're from, and arrange a meeting.

now if its like say, you add some chick on facebook who you have a few friends in common with, talk to her and flirt a bit then exchange numbers and meet up that might not be as weird.

but for just about anything else, just check out some of those dating websites if you're wondering what weird and desperate looks like. i guess it's all about your intention when you go online: if you're going online with the intention of finding a girlfriend, you're probably a loser. if you just randomly happen to meet someone on facebook (not while internet hunting for girls) it could be a bit different i guess. even i've done that before, but we always had someone in common.

Do you really have to say it? , from the tone of your posts you seem to be a proponent of online dating. I don't need reading comprehension when you sound pretty polarizing in the posts you direct to me.

You said it has no basis in reality...it does to me. I'd rather meet people in person than online. But if I had to resort to meeting people online, I'd go for that.

The scenario you give in the last sentence is a "no " type of thing. Like I said, I understand why people would date online. Kori and timvp are a prime example of how it can be successful.

I know several hot women who are smart as , have started extremely successful professional careers and go through dating websites to meet people to date. Its not desperation, for them its a matter of convenience and expedience. They usually arrange to meet for a drink and then take it from there. From that point its like you met the person at the bar or w/e but this allows you to at least focus on people with attributes you would prefer.

I met Jekka before the big internet dating craze took off but I know for damn sure if I'd had it as an option when I was single I would have used it to meet women who were smarter than average.

justify? I know your ego is large but why on earth would you assume I would feel a need to justify anything to you? Since when do I give a flying what you would think?

Yeah, I'm sure you're just the same IRL as you are on here. I'm sure IRL you act like you're different race and I'm sure your name changes every other week.

I did meet Jekka online though. It was one of those myspace like sites back in the day (friendster) and we met up to hang out one day, became friends, dated, etc etc. You are MORE than welcome to think me weird for that, but I'm pretty damn satisfied and very happy I met her.

I've lurked on those sites before out of curiosity and 99% of the women on there look wild and promiscuous. Women have it made, they don't have to do anything to get all kinds of attention from guys. Any girl who's worth it has so many suitors trying to get with her that she doesn't have time to look online.

Don't try to rewrite history. You said you'd have trouble taking a relationship seriously if you met someone online. You didn't say "I'd rather meet someone IRL". Not only does your reading comprehension suck, so do your communication skills.

You're using the world polarizing wrong. Polarizing in that context is used to describe something that pushes people toward two sides (IE - two poles) such as Abortion. How does that make sense in the way you used it? How can I sound polarizing to you?

This whole "had to resort" argument is stupid. Do you limit yourself to ONE place or one method of meeting people? If you're open to meeting someone online does that mean you all of a sudden mean you can't go out and meet people? Does it mean that you can't ask that hot girl in your class out? Does it mean you can't talk to some hot girl you see walking around?

The whole idea that the relationship is somehow changed because you first encountered someone on the internet is beyond stupid. Girl of my dreams? Doesn't matter, I met her on the internet. THAT is exactly what you said.
