Imagine if we gave more money to the geniuses at NASA instead of wasting that on wars.
Its a re ed point considering how cheap NASA is doing things right now.
Imagine if we gave more money to the geniuses at NASA instead of wasting that on wars.
Actually, I'd just like to hasten the War of the Worlds.
Hopefully NASA can get Sheila Jackson Lee a picture of Neil Armstrong's flag this time.
No . We are even outsourcing resupplying the space station to the Russians.
ing embarrassing.
she's the black bachman, right?
I never heard of her until board Republicans gave her more of a voice.
It's OK to be ignorant. Glad we enlightened you.
The thing is, she's still only important to you.
Very important.
Why?
Actually, the first time I heard of her was from a pretty liberal site I frequent. There was alot of smh being posted. Kinda like what happens when WC posts.![]()
I know board Republicans wish she had a high a profile as Bachmann's. They certainly do their part to raise it.
She just needs to be stupid enough to run for POTUS.
That would be fun. She really is painfully and incredibly ignorant and stupid. Actually a pretty good description of her district, too...![]()
The rover will reach speeds as high as 13,000 mph in attempt to land on mars. A super sonic parachute is suppose to slow it down. How do they even test something like that out. In theory sure but a actual test? God bless
And the cool thing is that mission control could not make adjustments on the fly. It all had to be pre programmed based on their best mathematical work and just let it go. Crazy huh?
Neil Degrasse Tyson tweeted yesterday that it had to travel 154M miles to land in an area which was 12x4 miles - proportionately much more difficult than a hole in one (LOL)
Like what?
An amazing feat.
I think I read that by the time NASA was aware that Curiosity was beginning it's descent into the Martian atmosphere, it had already been on the ground (hopefully in one piece) for seven minutes.
Pretty awesome! Kudos NASA.
if I know but, if we learn nothing than can help us here, let's learn to live there and start abandoning ship.
14 minute transmission lag.
Light is fast, but the distances are ridiculously huge.
And how has any of this had an effect on our lives here on Earth?
Should the 12 year old girl who was told today she has Cancer be excited also?
If your going to toss NASA's salad at least bring the dressing.
But you said NASA's trip to Mars may "fix stuff' here on earth.
I said "like what"
There's a great read about all this here:
