We are three ing generations into the "Great Society" welfare state and we have more ing poor people than we had then. It a self perpetuating hole of ty parents breeding ty kids who become ty parents.
That is flat out wrong. There are food shortages at all of the food banks. Sure you wont starve to death in most cases, but the aid many people get is barely enough to sustain life. Millions in America are malnourished. So I guess what you guys are saying is that just because starvation in america isn't as severe as starvation in Africa that it's a nonissue?

I pray we can pass a law that would prevent pregnancy until the age of 18. We have laws on drinking, driving, working, etc...we need laws on having babies. God bless

Yes, take an intermediate level macroeconomics course and you learn that decreasing the opportunity cost for the unemployed creates disincentive to work. More welfare leads to higher unemployment and lower incomes for EVERYONE, even those employed.
What you've done now is uncovered the democratic party scam. Their entire agenda is to keep people poor and in chains, dependent on the democratic party and the system. They will return again and again to vote in exchange for a handout.
I'm saying that if a child is starving there is at least one ed up adult in the picture.
Dude, you're not listening. Even WITH assistance, it's usually only enough to sustain life but not enough to have a full stomach and be healthy. Millions are not quite "starving" but are malnourished and may only get 2 meals a day. The economic situation is getting so bad here that after all the rationing is complete, people still walk away with less than enough to eat. People on this board for whatever reason tend to be more educated or better off than the average person, many here have advanced degrees or are pursuing them. Most of us, myself included, have never missed a meal. It's hard for some of us who are out of touch with the poor to imagine, but it actually is happening.

I know that I would live on boiled fideo before I would let my kid be malnourished, under educated, or in any way not given the opportunity to be 100% of what they can be. I'm possibly one of the hated 1% (not sure statistically) but I intentionally limited my family to two children so I could give them every opportunity for success.
BTW, my son makes more that I do now.
don't even worry about being 1% just be confident you're not middle class
