who's maradona?
Maradona is a tool.
who's maradona?
A tool, but one of a soccer player!![]()
Maradona was a legendary soccer player even though he looks like he's related to Ron Jeremy now.
Not anymore though, he's really lost weight, its amazing. He's recuperating preety well.
Oh, yeah he does know a lot...
Look, he was the best football player ever, but don't make him a god and believe that everything that he does or says is OK. That at ude was the worst we Argentinians could have with him.
He is to soccer what Magic, Bird, Abdul-Jabbar, Jordan, Russell or Chamberlain are to Basketball.
I didnt say he was an expert or anything, did I? Actually I dont have any evidence to decide whether he does know or not anything about basketball, just the interviews I've seen, him talking about 1999 Spurs team and when Shaq sent him his t-shirt.
Why should I be the judge on whether someone knows about basketball or not? does it make any difference? judge the words not the person...
I dont believe anything he says, in fact I dont even agree with him with most things, but he is en led to say them.Look, he was the best football player ever, but don't make him a god and believe that everything that he does or says is OK. That at ude was the worst we Argentinians could have with him.
Dont disqualify someones opinion on what you think he knows or does not know about the subject. Thats what bothered me from the original post.
You are an idiot.
I call BS Bull on this one.
Manu was as important as Duncan in the series.
Manu had two bad games. Duncan didn't play the lighhts out on those game's either. He had 14 and 16 pts in games 3 and 4. That's as bad as having 7 and 12 pts for Manu.
Manu only other "bad" moment in the series was at the end of game 6, when he lost three times the ball in the last two minutes. Well, Duncan had some "bad" moments of his own, such as the 4th Q and OT of game 5, when he went scoreless.
Again, Manu wa as important as TD. So gu yourself with your Manu hating.
They were booing Stern, you idiot.
I'll pay for a photo with Maradona next to Manu
Kind of tacky for Maradona to bring up the MVP thing. I've read a few items from the Argentine press and from Spanish language message boards etc and they do need to chill out. They are getting way too nationalistic about this. To read some of the press you would think that Manu won the series on his own. Makes me not want any more Argentinean (Scola) players in the future. You can celebrate Ginobili, but you don't need to disrespect our other players in the process.
I do love Manu though!
Uhh? OK![]()
Tim averaged 20 and 14 you knucklehead.
He is supposed to average that and more, nitwit. Manu averaged 19 and 6. For a guard who took only 12 shots per game in the series, that's impressive.
Any way you measure it, Timmy had an OK series, but not a great one. When he won the two previous MVPs, he had much better series. There was no question he was the MVP. This year, there were lots of questions. Many people thought Manu should get it. The voting was 6-5, imbecile. Many knowledgeable posters here thought Bruce should get it.
Lets go back and analyze the series, shall we?
Games 1 and 2, he played great but he was overshadowed by Manu, who played better.
Games 3 and 4, both Manu (2 of 6 and 4 of 9) and Tim (5 of 15 and 5 of 17) were horrible. Not only shooting, but their overall at ude.
In game 5 Timmy played very well until the 4Q, then he had a total meltdown and if it were not for Horry, right now people would be asking for TD's head.
In game 6 it was Manu who played well until he decided to suck the last two minutes.
In game 7, both Manu and Timmy had good games. But while Tim needed 27 shoots to score 25 pts, Manu needed only 13 to score two less points than TD.
As I said in another post, I'm happy Timmy got the award. I honestly don't care too much for who wins the MVP finals.
But idiots like yourself and TPark, who continue to sing the same stupid song: "Manu without Timmy is just another guard", just makes me lose it.
Manu was as instrumental as Tim in winning this championship. Without Manu, the Spurs lose against Seattle. Manu took game 5 of that series by the nuts, scoring 39 points taking just 15 shots (remember, Timmy had to take 27 shots to score 25 pts two nights ago). He also dished the assist to seal Game 6 @ Seattle.
So off with your hate. You don't like Manu, tough buddy, 'cause you are stuck with him for the next 5 years.

Hey asshole, trade Manu for Hamilton. Maybe the Spurs are better off with Rip (I'm sure DET fans would be delighted in getting Manu).
Or maybe we can trade him for your lover, the proven champion VC.![]()
