what about nate robinson??? he's being picked to go in the early 2nd round. could the spurs trade down with someone??? i know he's someone that the spurs were looking at last year until he pulled out of the draft to finish college. if the spurs take him we could let beno and nate battle it out for 2nd PG.

Why are we looking for another Foward when we already have bowen, linton, barry, and Brown. We should look for a bigman instead.
Bowen = 34. Linton hasn't proven anything other than the ability to get hurt. Barry is a SG. Devin has potential, but also has back problems.

We're talking about Bowen's future replacement.

We're also talking about finding someone who can match up with the Marions, Rashards, Tayshauns, etc. of the world. Linton hasn't proven he can play, and neither of the other two have shown that you can count on them to matchup with guys like that for the next 5-6 years.

Charlie Villanueva is a sure-fire bust. Never draft someone without any passion for the game.

Don't count on Linton Johnson III to turn out any good. He's a project at best.

The Spurs will look at SFs. They don't need much else, much less guards. There's maybe a 5% chance they'll pull a Center, maybe not even that.

Look for them to draft a Mickael Gelabele or somebody like that, bring him in this year or keep him in Europe, or else trade down for second round draft picks. The draft is pretty deep with intriguing prospects sure to be there late, so why not take a few fliers on players? Besides, we're bringing in a lottery-pick type talent next year with Luis Scola, so there's no pressure to find another rookie who can produce next year.

It's a SF. Bet on it.

I'd like to see the Spurs get Mindaugas Katelynas. He would probably still be around near the end of the 2nd round so maybe they can trade to pick up a second rounder. Optimally, I'd love to see Danny Granger on the Spurs but that is total pipe.
