He's got a point, but you still gotta look at it this way, did the Spurs really every play Linton Johnson? Or during the playoffs, did we really see much of Rasho Nesterovic?
Heck yes Bo Outlaw needs to come back home to win a championship, I wouldnt mind boasting that a person from my former high school won an NBA Championship.

I forgot, the Spurs' 12th man must be a current All-Star.
My apologies.
I like Bo. He can't be any worse than Tony Massenburg or Kevin Willis. I think him playing for his hometown would just add more energy to this guy. He is a veteran that can be a good locker room presence.
If Marks isn't coming back I certainly don't see why the Spurs couldn't use Outlaw. So what if he didn't play alot of minutes for the Suns? With the exception of Jim Jackson, no one did. He's a proven journeyman, he's from SA, and he'll have six fouls to burn the same as everyone else.
I would probably love him too if he went to my high school. But seing it from a spurs point of view, they just want him to replace other deep bench guys ljIII right? Please tell me what role he is going to provide other than being a cheerleader. Don't the spurs already have a good locker room presence?

Bo would be great for the last couple of minutes of quarters. If the Spurs wanted to throw some traps at an opponent, Outlaw brings the type of aggressive full-court D you would need.
Robert Horry's career looked all but over when he joined the Spurs.
As long as it's a minimum deal to replace TMass or Marks, I think he'd be great.
He probably wouldn't even be active until/unless we trade Rasho or Nazr, or if someone gets hurt. But if a trade goes through, he'd be nice to have as an 11th or 12th man to come off the bench and steady things if need be.
This coming from you is hilarious.![]()
How so? I've posted a plethora of suggestions for the 12th man, none of whom could be mistaken for an All-Star.
Mixed feelings on this guy. Don't need another bricklayer out there, for sure. But, this guy is one of more intense defensive players in the league. He will pester and frustrate most players and plays with everything he's got. I would think the Spurs could find the right situations to put him in a game.
He'd be a fantastic practice player and spot minute reserve.
