Between the in-state bible thumpers and the out-of-state gambling interests who don't want to lose Texan business, we're not going to see casinos in Texas anytime soon. Which is unfortunate IMO.
Who knows. They should have done it a long time ago. The Texas GOP has got to bible thump and that doesn't allow for the devils games. I live in NM and we have casinos on Reservations here so I can go get my poker fix in.

Texas has indian casinos, as well. They are in the Del Rio area.
No, Texas has one sorry excuse for a casino on the Kickapoo reservation near Eagle Pass. Its not near any large population center (2 1/2 hours from SA is not near) and because of that its tiny and terrible. Well it was when I went there.
