True... how will Porkins stop Dwight on the pick and roll? How will Ibaka stop Pau's pump fakes? How will Harden get another MWP elbow?

The guy in the middle is the weak link, tbh...

You seriously think the Thunder won't dispose of the Lakers in less than 6 games?

There are just too many mismatches in the Thunder's favor.

Perkins is a serviceable Dwight Howard defender. He makes Howard work for his shots like no one else does. Pau Gasol's pussification will continue this season. World Peace has regressed to scrub status, he's no longer a factor in games. Kobe is kobe. Nash is old, a mismatch that will be taken advantage of by Westbrook. Anything else you got?

Perk is too slow to cover the pick and roll. If Mike Brown lets Nash and Eddie Jordan do their thing they'll do the pick and roll ad nauseam; this isn't Orlando where Dwight simply muscles into the post to create opportunities for open threes.

Chimpbrook will burn Nash but the vet's more consistent shooting evens it out, tbh...

MWP isn't a real factor but he can still elbow Flop So Harden, tbh...

Dwight Howard is not a pick and roll player. He's more of a post up player. If Nash attempts to run a strictly pick-and-roll offense, Dwight Howard will have growing pains in that area. Plus, he's quite injury prone. That has a lot to do with the Magic riding his shoulders year in and year out.

Westbrook will burn Nash just like Parker burned Nash back in the mid-2000 Spurs-Suns series.

You do realize Howard was one of the most dominant players when Orlando did run the P&R? Plus, it's not as if they have a Pau Gasol.

Last I recall it wasn't Parker beating Nash that decided those series. It was the fact that Amar'e Stoudemire couldn't defend Tim Duncan.

Thunder's pick n roll defense was exposed last year and now the Lakers have the best team to expose that.

Thunder still have no inside game and will still be the same jump shooting team they were last year.

Son, I was gonna scoff at Vinny del Negr in that pic but I realized he can coach circles around Scott Brooks hackjob in the Finals...

    putting Durant on Chalmers
putting Flop So Harden on LeBron
    not going small at tipoff
    letting Spoelstra dictate lineups
    getting schooled by a phili

Please tell me how successful the Magic were by employing the pick and roll. Did it realistically get them anywhere? Any basketball fan that thinks about the Magic of the last couple of years thinks of dumping the ball down to Howard and letting him go to work. Perkins gave him fits back when he was in Boston.

Pau gasol, as I mentioned, won't be a factor. Serge will cancel him out.

Parker made Nash his . Go watch some games if you need to.

How were they exposed? Miami didn't run a primarily pick and roll game.

    Do tell.

Mostly because the Magic didn't have a good point guard. What, is Jameer Nelson a top PG simply because he made an All-Star game?

What if Pau backs down on Ibaka? He's mediocre on man defense.

Of course Parker ate up Nash, even a rookie PG like Lillard ( tlong) burned him. The simple fact was that if you have a mediocre defensive PG he should be compensated by a good defensive big. Unfortunately Nash AND Stoudemire are walking punchlines on D.

OKC will have the edge against the lakers imho. lakers look better on paper than the prior season but it doesn't increase their odd against OKC, nash is a liability at the defensive end which's more than what he can compensate for at the other end of the floor. DH aint much of an upgrade over a healthy bynum, plus their squad is 1yr older. which in all doesn't mean the OKC are champions material, however, they'll probably win the west but that'll only give them the rights to get asskicked by us heat in the finals once again tbh

    Terribly overused .

    Come up with something new.

Besides, it's not being homerish when you speaking about realistic expectations. And that's what I speak of.

What can you say about your precious Spurs?

    First round exit? lmao

More like second round exit, I'm fine with that because it's better than being 0-1 in the Finals.

So it's better to be knocked out of the playoffs early rather than reach the finals but come up short?
