Bron is not a , he had terrible PR advice and said a few stupid things, it happens, tbh.... it's funny how he still gets more hate for a charity TV special than Food Stamps gets for demanding a trade on draft day, raping a chick, snitching on a teammate, blowing up the '04 Lakers single-handedly, crying for a trade on Stephen A.'s show, demanding on camera that the Lakers ship Bynum's ass out, etc.

The huge Chosen One tattoo on his back, Lebron's post Mavs Finals "People going back to their miserable lives" speech, announcing a trade on a 1+ hour tv special, quitting on the Cavs vs Boston in the 2nd round. Not 1, not 2, not 3 etc.

Just some of the moves by Lebron off the top of my head, but flopcityfan being a huge Lebron nuthugger will simply call those "terrible PR advice"

Pretending that a tattoo and a TV special are the same as raping, snitching, crying for a trade on draft day, and throwing countless teammates and coaches under the bus
Claiming that an injured LeBron quit against the Celtics while conveniently leaving out the time Food Stamps quit on his team against the Suns
Whining about "not 1, not 2, not 3" but forgetting how Food Stamps guaranteed he would lead the league in scoring his rookie year, but ended up being a marginal bench player that season

The thing about Lebron is that he has made an attempt to refute his own bad decisions and learn from them. If he could take back the things he said out of frustration after losing the 2011 finals, and if he could prevent himself from buying into the media hype that labeled him the "chosen one," you could plausibly see him doing so. That's just what great players do. They learn from their own mistakes.

Kobe, on the other hand, has done precisely the opposite. He doesn't apologize for his teamkilling behavior, and in fact over the years he has only grown more committed to that technique. Were it not for Lakers management, Kobe would be ringless. For the past 2 years, he has singlehandedly caused his team to fall out of the playoffs via volume shooting.

At this point, he's close to being more of a liability than an asset. He certainly was that in the immediate post-Shaq, pre-Gasol years, when he was allowed to be the team leader and failed miserably. I sincerely doubt that Lebron will ever get to the point where he becomes more of a liability than an asset — his passing and rebounding game is just too strong.

    The goods tbh.

Didn't know about the rookie year scoring thing.

Fair enough. The players respect Kobe more than Lebron though, or atleast it was till last season. Now that he has rung, expect the a$$ kissing this coming season. Popovich will start the trend. He always does that, he did it to Shaq, Kobe, Nash, Dirk and now Lebron.

It's hard to say he is flat out superior to MJ right now, but I think if someone were building a team, and had to choose whether to build the team around Lebron or MJ, I would have no issues with anyone taking Lebron before MJ. His size, versatility, and ability to dominate 4 different positions both offensively and defensively is something that no player has ever been able to do. And he is still getting better. If he continues developing his post game, and his jumper continues to become more consistent, then I don't think there is a doubt in my mind that he will be > MJ when it's all said and done.

Not yet but he's gaining on MJ but he needs to get close in les. If Kobe got 6, I would still clearly favor MJ ... Same for Tim, Shaq etc. LeBron gets 6 he has a very strong case maybe with just 5

Actually, I was wrong.... Food Stamps actually guaranteed that he would lead the Lakers in scoring AND be the best player in the league his rookie year....

Peak Jordan > Peak Lebron..91 or 92 Jordan, to be exact, is the only player that has a clear-cut advantage over 2012 Lebron IMO..

Jordan's killer instinct and aggressiveness was superior, as was his explosiveness and mid-range shooting touch..prime Jordan's post game wasn't as advanced as revisionist historians lead us to believe, the difference is negligible..as great as Lebron was in 2012, Jordan's metrics during his runs in 91 and 92 are mind-boggling, tbh..

James's defense was clearly better IMO, I'm surprised that there are many skeptics in that regard of the argument..Lebron anchored Miami's defense, while routinely guarding the opposing best player..while MJ was an elite defensive player, his sidekick was arguably the greatest perimeter defender of all-time..

Furthermore, having Phil Jackson as your coach, along with Tex Winter, is just a little more beneficial than Erik Spoelstra, tbh..

So you're going to penalize MJ for not playing against as much talent as Lebron... but completely ignore the fact that Lebron is getting his hardware with an all-star team... good argument

Both are equally as big of a , but Bryant is more fun to watch than LeBron. I'd take fundamental footwork over athletic dunks any day of the week.

Lebron is the better overall player. The game isn't just about how much you score. Lebron owns basicallly every other category to the game.

u guys tend to forget how good jordan was in his time and maybe you're all too young to watch him play actually? jordan could pretty much score at will despite double/triple team and i never saw personally lebron dominating the game the same way jordan did. bron might be stronger than MJ but is not nearly as quick and/or agile as him, and dude's low-post game is also overrated due to the fact that there aren't as many good low-post defenders in today's game as was in MJ's time.

Im curious, Lebron made this got spoelstra looked good. Can you imagine had he had Phil Jackson as his head coach, Off rip in his third year in the league? You guys keep forgetting Jordan and Kobe had arguably the greatest coach of all time in Phil Jackson. Lebron has had Silas, Mike Brown and Spoelstra.. AND MADE THEM ALL LOOK GOOD!

There's nothing to argue about that. Phil is the GOAT.

    IMO, 1989 - 1998 Phil > 1999 - 2004 Phil > 2006 - 2011 Phil.

he benefited from mass propaganda marketing

dude played against bull SGs at his position...
    Stop it........

BTW Bron is not there yet, he has a ways and then a ways to go before he is considered better than Jordan. He has one playoff run where he does well and now he is better? Last year he was a bum and only had 2ppg in the 4th Q of the finals and a choker (Heads all over were saying it), one year doesn't make you the best.
