IMO they should bring Nash off the bench. He can still be in during the 4th quarter and close games out, but that way he'll play a bigger role when he's in and will largely help the inep ude of their bench. He and Jamison should be enough to make their 2nd unit respectable.

Mike Brown turned Steve Nash into a spot up shooter. I was getting indignant for Nash especially when the Mavericks left him wide open and Peace, Kobe, et al are trying to chuck contested shots.

I mean let's get one of the best PG ever who excels at pnr and fast break sets and let's run that offense?
So Kobe will be a spot up shooter. Same problem. Kobe needs the ball in his hands. It's his game. And that's the way Kobe got his rings. Nash has none being the main guy so the choice is obvious.

Nash is not the PG the Lakers need but we knew it.

Bring him off the bench to run the second unit could help.

As what I mentioned, the Lakers will find out that Howard isn't better than Bynum.
The biggest problem will be if he's not more healthy than Bynum

just hope they can fit into a team soon enough to steal one or two rings from miami's cabinet before kobe completely turns $-collecting mode tbh.
Kobe's been in $-collecting mode his entire career. I don't think he's ever taken a penny less than the absolute max the CBA allowed.

Edit: at least recently. I don't know if he got maxed out early in his career.

If their backup PGs were anything better than a rotting pile of crap I might agree. Blake really is bad enough to drag down the whole starting lineup, though. For now, the Lakers will just have to play their starters 36+ min each to mitigate the damage caused by their own bench.

    - If they don't, they'll get criticized for essentially ignoring the coaching staff. I'd give this some time. It's easy to blame Brown and act as if he's over thinking this, but when you have four stars of that magnitude, you want something that's equal opportunity, so that none feel slighted.

    - I'd also give Howard some time. But if he can't regain full explosiveness/athleticism, then they can forget about winning a championship.

    - The bench is laughable. First and foremost, they need a 3D SF. Pietrus and Richardson aren't great options, but they beat playing Jamison out of position or playing Ebanks period.

This is going to be a season long work in progress, which is why I always had them as the 3 seed and under 60 wins.

he's far better, only problem is that last year's bynum wasn't the real bynum and yet they sucked big time anyway..

"It is frustrating a little bit because I feel like we're thinking too much instead of playing," Nash said of adjusting to a new offense after spending the last eight seasons with the Phoenix Suns. "At the same time, we don't have the confidence just to play. We're not totally confident in where we're going. But we've grown a lot. We've come a long way with it and we'll get better with it."
    Nash isn't having fun anymore.

    - Four of their starters are 32 or older.

    - Kobe is too difficult of a personality to coach for anyone not name Phil Jackson, Pat Riley or Greg Popovic.

    - Metta World Peace is an idiot. Just substract 5 possessions for the Lakers every night for all the terrible shots he takes.

It doesnt matter what "offense" they run. Three of the starters will always look to Kobe on every possession while MWP will do something dumb.

The "Nash having fun" quote is being taken completely out of context.

He was comparing team under Terry Porter (worst coach in Suns history) and Shaq WHEN THEY WERE LOSING versus D'Antoni years.

Should've replaced Mike Brown with someone that can coach offense, while Nash is still mobile.

Best defense against Steve Nash is taking the ball out of his hands and chaining him in a slow-pace half-court offense. He looked positively Steve Blake-esque out there. Enjoy Lakers fans.

Steve Blake Nash tbh...a great player being held back by Potato Head and his toppings of chives, sour cream, butter, salt, pepper.

you can surround dwight howard with trash and that team will still win one or two rounds in the playoffs. orlando has been doing it for years. nash, on the other hand, is done. i don't know why lakerfan was creaming in his pants after getting nash. dude will be 39 years old at the time of the playoffs. watching him try to guard chris paul or westbrook will be hilarious. but again, lucky the lakers have DPOY candidate dwight howard. gasol is no slouch on shot blocking either. lakers just need to find an iden y and just stick with it.

I saw 3 or 4 pnr with Nash that game. I am not saying that Nash needs to dominate the ball every possession but if you are not going to at least play to his strengths a little bit then why have him out there?

The Lakers still have time to fix their problems but time is ticking on them to fire Mike Brown.

tbh, you can't even pin the bad D on Nash this time around... 90 pts in 3 quarters... You have to start thinking if that old team is going to have problems in back-to-back nights
