Probably not. I still think they'd be an average team, though. Outside of Paul, Kobe, Howard/Injured Bynum (depending on how things played out if the Paul trade went through), the Lakers would have a pretty thin roster that still wouldn't solve their youth/athletic problems.
Furthermore, Chris can't really go 40+ mins per game anymore, and what is making the Clippers so tough right now is their perimeter depth. Once Paul goes out, here comes Bledsoe or Crawford. As much as I like Paul, I still think the Clips would be a decent team (.500 record about) without him. Lakers, on the other hand, with Brown/D'Antoni, would run him into the in' ground since they'd their pants every time they'd have to bring in Blake/Duhon/Whoever.
