As you are well aware of the Figting Irish have it pretty rough the next five weeks, let's see how they do vs Stanford, Oklahoma on the road. I can see them beating Mich at home, they really aren't all that.

As far as in the future goes, they really do need to recruit more speed. If you watch NCAA football you've had to have heard about why the SEC rules, I know you've heard..."it's that SEC speed, the big guys can even run"....haven't you? In the college game overall team speed is huge as is depth of it. Look at Oregon, speed all over the place. ND doesn't get those kinds of players, they end up at other schools. As long as ND doesn't get those kinds of players they will never be among the elite, in the le hunt, beating the SEC/Pac12 studs in a bowl game.

I have no reason to be critical of ND, no ax to grind I just follow the sport and see what kind of athlete ends up in South Bend, They are a wrung below what we see at Bama, USC, Oklahoma, FSU. I don't see that changing any time soon.
