Here in Portland, about the only honest paper left is Willamette Weekly, even though it has a heavy liberal preference.

It's not all, IMO, and not all have to be outright dismissed (IMO again). Just some of them are outright open about it.
Yeah. I meant all that have been bought out and then lost what made them great. Not all of the companies in general. Pepperidge Farm, for instance, had a huge brand value. It was started by a woman who's son was allergic to all commercial bread. She took out alot of the junk major bread companies used and made a better product. In the sixties, Campbell bought the company and since the company is just considered a good expensive bread-especially when I had stock in Campbell and they decided to start focusing on single serve size.

SA EN is one of the worst papers I've ever read! It's mainly a collection of NYT and LAT articles.

I agree that CBS is in the business to make money. It just will take credibility away from cnet. It also seems like a stupid move from CBS since they would profit more by maintaining CNet's brand.
Yeah, they pretty much just gave their C/Net subsidiary a swirly. Netizens don't seem for forgive this like TV viewers do.

"The Consumer Electronics Association has not only today bestowed its Best in Show le upon the same Dish Network product that started this whole mess in the first place — in the same release, the group says it will no longer work with CNET. CES has enjoyed a long and productive partnership with CNET and the Best of CES awards,' said Karen Chupka, the CEA's senior vice president for events and conferences. "However, we are concerned the new review policy will have a negative impact on our brand should we continue the awards relationship as currently constructed. We look forward to receiving new ideas to recognize the 'best of the best' products introduced at the International CES.""
