Yeah it's conspiracy and they had him fake limp at the end of the sixers game. Sounds likely....
If he doesn't play Friday, then I'm not gonna get the tickets to the game. I really wanted to see him play Fri too!

I didn't see the limp. Is there video footage?
It seemed like Timmy's brace keeps him from fully straightening his knee, at least when walking.

Definately faking knee troubles to have a rest. Now that Pop can't be honest and use DNP OLD or DNP REST they now have to lie about it. Just a way to side-step Stern and save $250,000 for sitting a game out.
Great minds...I had already seen this scenario playing out in my head.
It's on my DVR. I'm sure it was mentioned in the game thread, as I wasn't the only one to bring it up.
Tim said that he fell on the knee in the Sixers game http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursna...iss-much-time/
Wayne Wright, I hear you get tickets to a Spurs game if he wins
I think this is good news. I was worried that Duncan's knee was just weakening on him due to the wear and tear of the season. But if it was a result of a fall (he fell a lot during the Sixers game), the chances are better than he could recover and get back to the high level he was playing at the whole season. Of course, that's assuming that no serious injury occurred during the fall.
But, yeah, encouraging news![]()
Good tidbit of info. I'll go back and see if I can figure out when it happened. As everyone said, that would be really great if it's something that will heal up quickly and not tendonosis.
Well I just got done going through the game, and I think "fell on the knee" isn't an accurate description.
If Duncan hit the deck in that game, I didn't see it. He was laboring just a bit through the game, but nothing too alarming. He went up for an uncontested defensive rebound with just over a minute to go in the third, and he just kind of came down flat-footed. That's the first time he showed any sign of loping on that leg. Gary Neal was fouled shooting a three two plays after that, and Duncan subbed out. This would explain why it took so long for Duncan to come back, and when he did, he was dragging that leg. He played very well, but it was clearly slowing him down by that point. I'm sure Pop would have been thrilled not to put him back into the game.

Cameron Cox @CamCox4 Gate closed at the airport. Tim Duncan or Coach Pop did not board the plane.
That's a great news that the injury is just the result of a hit.
Spurs schedule will be really light with 2 home games in 10 days after the b2b @Mavs and vs Suns. It will allow Tim and the rest of the team to be really fresh for the rodeo road trip.

Spurs announce Tim Duncan (sore left knee) and Gregg Popovich (sick) did not travel to Dallas today and will miss Friday's game at Mavs

if baynes doesn't show up to this game... secret coaching session with pop and duncan?
So Leonard will play if he traveled with them?
Same with Baynes? The other thread said he was on the flight.
I don't think Baynes can play until his work visa is cleared. He did travel with the team but it's up to his visa for when he can play. Haven't heard any news regarding Leonards injury.
It would be if it were. It's not.
I was going to the game in Dallas until I had to change my plans. Glad I'm not now. I'll wait and go to a game in SA later.
I'm somewhat concerned about Pop. It's not like him to miss games like this. He's 64 so it's not like he's a young buck. Let us hope it's something like the flu or something relatively minor.
He had a bunch of s ches when he had the carcinoma removed, and I don't think he missed a game.
Nice timvp. Now we are all going to be crazy worried about Coach Pop.
Pelis are Stern's team. Not showing up along with your NBA Legend is Pop's way of telling Stern to go himself.
So why is Tim lying then? He is the one that said it.
