PTI = Allen to the Cavs

In terms of basketball ability, no doubt it's Allen, but he has more baggage, and one has to wonder about his motivation. He just had a career, but it's quite obvious it's due to the fact that it was his contract year. This was his 9th year in the league, why did it take so long? Will he still take on the challenges with a big cushy contract?

Here's what I think: 28 million cap room...

8 million Michael Redd
10 million Big Z
7 million Bobby Simmons
3 million AD

That team probably wins the East.

I think Z will take more like 11-12
And I think Redd can get more like 9-10
And AD will receive around 5 to secure his services

So that will give them around 25-27 million in salaries. They would probably then fill out the roster with minimum salaried players

Gooden / Varejao
James / Newble / Jackson
Redd / Pavlovic
Daniels / Snow

The only reason I put Z where I did is he and Ferry are pretty tight. I could see him taking a little bit of a cut to help his buddy Danny out and also to put a better team around him.

Remember, Ferry went to the Spurs school of personnel management.

That team makes it to the 1st round of the playoffs, that's it.

Detroit, Miami, Indiana, New Jersey and Chicago would be better.
