Son, they are the team with 16's not us. You honestly think our fools gold record will take us anywhere in the playoffs? Championship teams have superstars who can play 40 - 45 min/game without fatigue. Tim has not done that since the 2008 Suns series.

It was pretty obvious to the majority of Laker fans this teams le run was over after 2011, getting Howard\Nash would excite any fan base. Gimme a break, Spurs acquire Thiago Splitter and have a 12 o clock boner. So fans got excited again, but the harsh reality that Kobe\Pau run is over sank in. I agree, they aren't winning a ring this year, but I guarantee you the Spurs aren't going to either. The only difference between Laker fans and Spurs fans are our hopes are pretty much over early on for this nucleus, Spurs fans will realize that BRUTAL reality by late April.
Also, it's the Lakers franchise, you and I know they will acquire either Durant, Lebron, or Irving in the next few years (more than likely Durant or Irving) along side with another superstar and go for another le run. The Spurs are basically like Hakeem's Houston Rockets TBO, they had some fun times and have been relevant for a while but when's the last time Houston did anything the moment Hakeem retired? Hakeem = Tim Duncan in importance for the franchise, once he's gone it's OVA for SA and Ratface Popo will retire with him.

Lakers season is not over yet. Portland and either houston/utah will slip in 9/10th spot and miss the playoffs. but it will all be for nothing since they won't beat OKC in a 7 game series. either they face them in the first round or later that doesn't matter.

Spurs are going win this year barring some major injury. Plus Okc point guard is still out of control at times. Lakers not sniffing postseason.
