You're right, rather then get on his team for giving up 140 points and actually guarding most of those 3s (which were open) lets go ahead and flangrant and foul every player on the court.

I didn't watch the game, so when I heard the news I was like "Yea, Jackson might have been justified."

Just saw the game and wow, I can't think of a tier way to respond to a lack of effort.Rockets were just playing basketball. Wtf did you want them to do? Hold the ball for 24 seconds each time down? Do you know who was in the game for most of the 4th? The bench players, most of who never get to see any playing time to begin with, should they have just held on to it too? If the Rockets really wanted to break the record they would have had their starters in, and if Mark Jackson really wanted to stop them from breaking the record he should have said something about wide open 3s for the first 46 minutes of the game.

Petty is the right word for it. What kind of message are you sending to your players? Just play out the game and move on to the next one. If the Rockets break the record, so be it. Don't let it faze you. That's the at ude you're supposed to have. Not getting angry in the closing moments of a 30 point blowout because you might give up a fairly meaningless record. You're stooping and hurting the fans most of all. I actually thought he was doing a decent job at coaching despite the fact he has the IQ of a watermelon, but it seems he is a sore loser and poor strategist.

Whats funny is most people don't give a rat's ass about some stupid record like that. By fouling consistently (the rockets made it clear they would just hold on to it the last posession) he let them get to 140. That isn't old school. Thats giving away free points while the other team is planning on dribbling it out. The rockets have been a bad defensive team this year and it pisses me off, so I don't understand how a coach can send that sort of message to his players.

Here is the video , almost all of them are wide open shots. If the starters are out at the beginning of the 4th is he really going ot hold the 3rd stringers desperately trying to keep a job in the NBA from shooting wide 3s the Warriors are giving them?

the most pathetic part of the game is the warriors had to foul the s hard in order to prevent them making anymore 3's, s still got the points at FT line but the warriors managed to save themselves from finishing at the shameful end of a new NBA record, classic nelly tbh
