Another example showing westbrooks lack of BBIQ was when durant was being guarded by Cojo. It was an easy pass to durant but instead Westbrook decides to drive to the rim and miss.
Sometimes the easiest explanations are best.
I believe Chuck felt he "had it going", had already made the decision to Chuck a three, misjudged exactly where he was on the court, but intended to take one of those JJ Red , Lebron freak 3s. He wanted to make a statement to Gary, and the Spurs, that he would annihilate Gary and make him look bad.

I don't think so. Talent is having a killer crossover, a buttery jumper, good handles, rebounding ability: physical attributes. BBIQ is knowing when to use which tool. Westbrook's opposite would be Matt Bonner. Very smart, but almost no talent at all.
Well... So as a player combining both where do you put him?
No BBIQ? Blake Griffin also fits the bill.
I replayed this play 3 times when I was watching it live. Pop makes the hack signal to his arm and is yelling. I couldn't for the life of me figure out why he wanted a foul. As someone else said, there wasn't an injury and you wouldn't have been fouling a 90% ft shooter on purpose. This board is full of people that want to bash every non spur that exists. If Pop was yelling foul foul foul, that wasn't a dumb play by Westbrook. The problem was the ref didn't hear Pop yelling. This is a play that you see CP3 do every few games and is called a High BBIQ becuase of it.
It's possible that Pop wants to call a timeout to give players some rest.
